Alton Towers Released This!

"Thirteen will be based on the discovery of an unearthed ancient burial site in an area of unexplored woodland known as the Dark Forest.

Built on the site of the old Corkscrew rollercoaster, visitors will be invited to take a petrifying ride on Thirteen, venturing into the seemingly living and breathing Dark Forest. There they will face an unknown horror that has been unleashed from the ancient crypt.

The ride has been developed with the world's leading coaster and thrill consultants who have collaborated to combine the ultimate elements of physical and psychological fear - to create what experts are dubbing a 'psychoaster'."

And of course people believe it will be a "Robo Coaster" due to the fact that it says that it will be a one of a kind coaster.

But remember this is just a theroy. no one will know for sure whats going on!

I love seeing coasters with dark ride elements. Sounds like the essence of the Revenge of the Mummy coasters but twisted more towards Saw: The Ride. I'm thinking RoboCoaster is very likely, seeing as the layout shown there looks very simple. Also...

If it's a RoboCoaster then that might be the "Secert Weapon"!

The whole coaster is the Secret Weapon, just like Air and Nemesis were Secret Weapons.

Seems a little dark for a family coaster.

Maybe it is a family coaster, but it has something different. After all, Alton Towers haven't broken their promises in the past...

I think its just a family ride, except with extensive and scary themeing. And whats with the switch-back element?

It can't be a famliy coaster, I read somewhere that there is an age limit of sixteen!

Alton Towers Resort is to launch "the scariest ride in the UK" next year, it announced today.

Thirteen, built on the site of the old Corkscrew rollercoaster, aims to combine physical and psychological fear and will be dubbed a "psychoaster".

The £15 million ride will be restricted to 16 to 55-year-olds only and visitors limited to one ride per day "due to concerns about emotional maturity and physical health", resort bosses said.

Visitors will also be required to sign a waiver which assures the resort of their physical and mental health "to avoid any resulting lawsuits".

I'm really excited for this coaster. I love the suspense of not knowing what it is just yet.
Might have to plan a trip to europe in the next few years.

I wonder when they're going to start testing?

I MUST go to Alton Towers when this is done. I don't care if it is only a family ride, those photos are encouraging me to ride it. (my birthday is in March, so I could go then...)
