I wanted to say that the curved track pieces create bumps and straight spots if you connect more than one together.
Pinned track is better. It saves speed because the tabbed track pulls apart very easily, and this creates little spaces between track segments. With the pins, the track is tightly joined together. The sideways T shape if the joints is also another bad thing. The wheels run over these, and the train loses a slight amount of speed. In VV, we need as much speed as we can get. With pinned track, there is a smooth transition from section to section. I know this because I replaced all of my tabbed track with pinned track on my other coaster Rampage, and noticed a better speed. IMO pinned track looks better too. The only drawbacks are that there is no curved track pieces, and it creates bumps and straight spots if you try to shape it to very small elements.

^You can also put elastics between the sections so the track so the track sections will not get pulled apart.
Not sure what you mean. Can you post a picture explaining what your saying?
EDIT: More info on VV vs Normal Slimtrack. The 3D connectors in Vertical Vengeance form very weak connections to other VV 3D connectors. As a result, they pull apart easier. I recommend combining one Vertical Vengeance 3D with one regular Slimtrack 3D. I'll post pictures to explain.

A bit random, but how many of the long blue rods (same length as grey rods, 7.5 inches) does the Starburst Spinner have?
The starbust spinner has 33 bleu rods
