last coasters until i get back from a little break from knex. it will be a coaster that will
stand up for a bit something like coasterfreak's oasis. it will probably be
something of an out and back looping coaster featuring a 2'7" tall loop. im
not sure how long it will be, how high, or what else it will do, i only know about the
loop cause i all ready built it. i will be putting a lot of planning into this one and dont
expect it to be finished as fast as magnum or any of my other coasters. i will update
you on any more progress
The name of the coaster will be Clarion,
meaning clear and shrill. some synonyms are cloudless, fine, pleasant, rainless, sunny,
sunshiny, unclouded, undarkened. as you can see im not going for a dark of scary
coaster. it will be more of a classic styled coaster.
My next few posts have
pics of my loop which i worked on all last night and some of this morning. im still not
sure if i am completely satsifyed with. tell me what ya think.
Here is pic
one

could use some work . J/K, that is like,
perfect!!! It's a thing to look at too. Is there some type of
design on top of it that kindof resembles lattice work or something like that? Overall,
very impressive.

use one just about every coaster ive made along with some extra supports so it can
make a loop and to give it more support.

loop, and a 2'4" or so bunny hop. im still not sure what will come next. i
have a pic of it so far.

will be a good coaster to finish before you take a break i was thinking about taking a
break from knex for like a month or two, but then i said why do I need a break i only
built 2 "WORKING" models.

the best and smoothest looking I have seen so far. Those supports are incredible, and
they're what I'd been planning to use on my next coaster. But I
didn't think they could be that pretty. You mind if I use that drop support style?
I'll give you all credit, but wow. I applaud you, and yes, take your time. Fine
work, fine work.

well, with
the couple hours i had after school, baseball tryouts, and my trumpet lesson, i was able
to kinda finish the lift and began planning out the turnaround. i was thinking about
using the turnaround i used on my mustang model (you can see a pic of that at )http://www.knexcoast...rs_mustang.htm), but i
don't want to repeat that. the other options i was thinking about were a diving
turn to the ground and then a bunny hop right after that (kinda like on son of beast but
without the extra circles and it would be steeper), or a turnaround that is more of a flat
turn up in the air (kinda like coasterfreak11's oasis). then i also have a few
more ideas, but they would be hard to explain w/o pics or something
. if anyone has some
more ideas let me know.

do a batwing,pretzel knot( ),cobra
roll.immelmann.You could also do magnums turnaround if you want or a inclined helix
but that would probaly take most of the speed away.

original. i dont really want to put another inversion, i think it would ruin the whole
classic yet modern kinda look im going for. maybe an inclined helix like thing would
work well, or even an inclined loop.

it! I would suggest maybe adding a corkscrew or two at the very end but not
really have any other inversions apart from those 3. Also, my dad is a teacher and he
does the yearbook for the school he works at. The name of the yearbook is Clarion.

roll hill in this coaster at some point. at first i was thinking about doing it instead of the
bunny hop after the loop, but i think i may try it after the turn around. i also dont think
anyone has built a barrel roll hill like on kumba. for the turnaround i am leaning toward
a over banked turn type thing kinda like on mf but not quite.
i also worked
on my coaster, doing some fine tuning while i decide exactly what to do for the rest of
the coaster. i raised the bunny hop after the loop by about 1/2in. and gave it more of a
parabola shape like a real coaster would have. you will see it in my next pic later on.
