Well its Blackkitty again. Im gonna build a small woodie next, possibly for the kiddie kontest.. im pretty inexperienced in the art of building woodies..
I have some quesestions..

1. what is the best cube side lengths... (blue*blue, blue*yellow, yellow*yellow etc)

2. Does the lift have to be less then 45 degrees?

3., what is the best way to make a lift less than 45 degrees?

4. Does any one want to make me a layout? it will be about 3 feet tall (if for kiddie contest.) or 4 feet if i cant make the deadline.

Thanks

Well, most people don't have enough blue rods to do blue by blue. I did yellow by yellow. You can make the lift whatever degree you want. The angle doesn't matter. Most woodies with less than a 45* lift are built like this.

A 45* green followed by a straight yellow followed by a 45* green and so on.

Less than 45, I seriously cannot think of any wooden coaster with a lift of 45 degrees, excepy maybe Son of Beast.

Well I don't know most the angle the lift is on most woodies, but the best way to save pieces is to use a gray to yellow rods. It looks really nice and it saves pieces at the same time.
