I noticed you put rods into the bottom of the cars when spraying, does this stop them filling?

this is the kind of woodie I dreamt of making,
I love the design, it's so compact and so intricately laid out
It's epic, and the cars are awesome too.
Has instantly become one of my top 5 K'nex Coasters...

MichaelG, putting the rods in the cars does several things that help when painting.
1. Prevents the holes from filling with paint so you can still get people or rods in them in the future. Note, that the first thing I did was paint the cars inside and out with flat grey to cover all the orange. I did those coats without the rods so the holes would not be orange. Then I used the rods for all the other coats. I cut up grey rods into 4 pieces but you can use any rod.
2. Keeps the bottom edges of the cars from getting paint puddles and allows some of the paint to get the very bottom edge of the car so it will look better from underneath.
3. Allows you to handle the cars when painting without messing up the wet paint. As you can see in the pic above I stuck the rods into a scrap piece of styrofoam to hold the cars during painting. That lets me rotate all the cars at once during painting so I can get all sides of them evenly.

I tried to run a 5 car train and it did not run as well. Not only is there some flex in the track but the whole table moves and that got worse with the heavier train. The more I ran it the better it got, suppose the lube had to work in. But in the end I thought it looked better with only 4 cars because the coaster is so small.

Those trains are really cool! Although the less amount of x ties, this coaster is very smooth. It must be really comfortable to build on a table.

Sorry for a lateish responce to me saying "no theming" I was just confused about what those red rods were for, and you said something about not theming, so I thought they looked very weird. Anyways, awesome coaster!

I love the sound of the chain lift now, I don't know why but I just do. Well done!
