Sounds like it will mainly be based mosly on cars, but some of it will be the coaster itself.

I think that the cars should be a requirement but if all you have is themed cars but an awesome coaster you should be able to win.

Hmm... I might actually enter this one. I probably wouldn't win, but as long as it is fun! I hope I can get the cars I am thinking of to work.

Painting you cars is not going to work. Same goes for anything that does not change the car's shape.

Count me in on the contest. Some how I missed the exact date the ride had to be submitted by, but I should be done before august so I should be OK.

I know that means changing the actual car (taking it apart and making it spin, swing etc), but can that mean you add to the car (like K'nex parts?) instead?

This will make or break it for me when it comes to participating in this particular competition.

Most people just add parts to the cars. Exactly one of the ways you can achieve the goal.

Hey, I'm gonna try to enter this contest, but my situation is unique.

1. Is it okay if my ride has no knex what-so-ever?

2. Is it okay if my ride is not exactly a model?

After reading the rules, my ride does not violate any mandates for this contest, and it has a custom car, but it is a bit unorthodox compared to the competition.

In the main Summer Heat thread I stated that "All contests are K'nex-only.", so I'll have to reject that ride.
