looks good so far.

A very big scale, guess you go big or go home eh?

Looking rather realistic so far, keep it up.

Looking awesome! One suggestion: try placing the peeps more randomly. Now the empty spaces are every 4 seats. That doesn't really look realistic.

Really like this so far, move on!

For some reason I imagined it would end up a lot bigger.

I figured this would be a realistic size, based on the size of these K'NEX men. Any bigger would look out of proportion.

A very big scale, guess you go big or go home eh?

Like I said above, realistic scale IMO. And it's somewhat heavy and tall (just not as tall as Steel expected), but that's something I like. I'm known for building big, lol.

One suggestion: try placing the peeps more randomly. Now the empty spaces are every 4 seats. That doesn't really look realistic.

I'll see what I can do. Might not change this, as these men have to have their 'hands' connected to the restraint bar and some seats don't leave enough space between them to let them both be occupied by K'NEX men.

Gonna work on this again next Thursday.

A couple of days, some gear work and testing passed and now it is time to cancel. During the last exposition I decided I would get rid of the bumper cars, finish the top spin and then get back to K'NEX coasters. Now that problems with the top spin arose, I think it is better to start with coasters again, right away.

No problems there, so it seems.

The problem becomes more apparent.

Can you see what this is? Yes, a bending axle.

I used a triangular backbone for the seats, but it was hard to find a good connection to the main arms. Actually, I think the connection I used didn't work that good. I am gonna use the triangular backbone for my next coaster, though. :)

The bending axle caused unwanted tilting of the arms. Since the axle was not just supporting the arms, but also the source of rotation of the seats. The motors that powered the seats had huge problems with rotating them.

All of this helped me making my decision to leave the top spin for what it is and continue with my next K'NEX coaster, a dive machine.
