It’s that time of the year again! No, not the part where you stuff your face at least 3 or 4 times in the next 2 months, I’m talking about the SSCAwards! Nominations will start soon. You will have until November 27th to nominate members. On that night, the nominations will end and voting will start on December 1st. You will then have until December 25th to vote. Results will be announced on January 1st. DO NOT vote or nominate now!

During nominations, there will be topics in a special subforum where you can nominate members and coasters for a certain category. When the nominating process is over, we will take all the nominations and make polls with them. The polls will be private and determine the winner. You can only nominate one person per category! IMPORTANT: You must include the name of the coaster and the creator. Also, you CAN NOT nominate or vote for yourself. If you nominate yourself, your nomination will not be recognized. If you vote for yourself, you will be disqualified from the awards. All models that you nominate must be from this past year. (November 1, 2010-Present)

Extra rules and notes:

• Moderators and administrators can nominate and vote as well.
• Any nominations from November 2010 will be accepted, unless it won an award last year. 2010 winners
• Best New Member holds a different timeframe, so please check that out.
• Check the Database and Forums for rides from earlier in the year and last year, don’t forget about them.

Best Coaster:
The best coaster of the year. Must be a completed model.

Best SlimTrack Coaster:
These little coasters deserve love too. Nominate your favorite.

Best Other Model:
Flat rides, ball towers, and arcade games…oh my!

Favorite New Ride Design:
A new launch? New Braking system? Nominate it here.

Best Style:
Do you want to tap that model? Post the name of it.

Best Station/Theming:
Does a model have a nice look and theme to it? Tell us.

Best Automation:
Impressed with a realistic working coaster? Nominate it.

Best Final Video:
Did this video make a coaster look better? Bring it up.

Favorite Builder:
Do you think this member stands out above the rest? Post his name.

What's the difference between these two nominations?

Best Coaster:
The best coaster of the year. Must be a completed model.

Platinum Model Award:
Your favorite model from 2011.

What's the difference between these two nominations?

Your favorite model may not be the best. Oasis surely isn't the best on the site anymore, but it is still by far my favorite K'nex coaster.

No, it doesn't. But the new design must be proven completed and fully functional.

I have a question: Can Tom and I both enter something, if our opinion is different, or do we both have to nominate for the same thing even though our opinion is different? You can see who voted (if yes) by who's initial letter is the capital one, if not everybody knew yet.

You can both nominate something. But since voting is account-based, you can only vote once per award when the voting round starts.
