Looking good I hope you can transport the pieces to your school successfully on time and you can finish layout on time too hurry up dude!!! Times running out soon!!!

I managed to get it there and assemble what I could. Space is a bit limited so I can't set up the full lift hill yet.

That tubing looks like it will be a headache to untangle there..... but good luck finishing!

Thanks, and it actually turned out to be a lot easier than what I expected.

It's not really a bump, but your post is almost just as bad when it makes no contribution to the thread.

With a little under 2 weeks until the event, the coaster is actually coming together. The lift hill is mostly-set up (because of space issues and safety for the arch), the station building's transports are done, the modifications to the lift hill so it will accept a continuous feed of microchain is almost complete, and the rest of the ride is coming along. If you remember, the lift hill was of decent size, but the rest of the coaster will be a bit longer. The photo is from Wednesday, so it's a little out of date - the base is now completed for this section and supports are finished all the way up to the Sengel Dive - but this is my only photo of it. I am not adding all the trackwork yet as it still needs to be moved to my school's lobby this Thursday where I'll be able to set the rest of the parts up. The problem right now is that I don't have is enough middle cars to make a second, 6-car train. I did make them Skyrush-like and will post a photo or two in the next update.

These two photos should give a good sense of how big the ride will be in terms of length and width.

Comment, ask questions, and expect a few more updates as the ride is completed.

EDIT: Also, I probably won't be able to respond to anyone or post another update until Wednesday. I leave for my PA Jr. Academy of Science State Trip in two hours and won't be back to building until Wednesday.

Bad news that I bet a lot of people were expecting (including myself). I was not able to finish the coaster in time for the event, which actually started an hour and a half ago. I was on track to finish the ride by this afternoon, but issues with the teacher letting me come in and work on the ride after school for enough time made it extremely difficult to finish the ride. I will say, however, that this is really sad to see happen considering the great potential the ride had. Since I knew I would not finish the ride in time for the event, I did cancel it a few days ago and moved it out of my school earlier this afternoon before the event.

I only have one picture of some of the ride set up. There is still another 3 feet of base that comes out of the right-hand side that contained the two turns.I'm still just amazed the lift hill turned out the way it did. Lots of teachers, faculty, and students loved the lift hill. I myself think it looks really good and almost like the real thing. If anyone wants, I can also make a tutorial for it. I still have the lift hill broken down into sections I could reassemble for a tutorial of some sorts.

Thanks everyone for the help with this ride, but I'm already planning next year's (smaller) coaster and testing a few designs now.

At least do like a small mega-lite or something! All the work you put into the lift can't just go to waste!?!?!

How much track was actually finished?

As of Monday, I had the lift hill, drop, first air hill (needed fixing), turn, about half of the second air hill, as well as the track from the overbank back to the station. I needed to get the stengel dive, straight section, third turn, twisty element, and the track leading up to the overbank done. Most the trackwork past the drop was a bit more rushed than usual. The first air hill was a little sagging too (it didn't help when the air hill track was held up by tension from the drop and first turn). I also started having issues with the lift hill. Since I converted the cable lift to a chain lift over the weekend, I started having a few issues with the gears and the microchain.

Well, I can't now since the event was today and ended an hour ago. Even so, I had enough parts to build the ride, it was how much time I was given to complete it that was the problem. And considering that my teacher originally wanted the ride moved out yesterday afternoon and I was able to push it back to last Thursday, I'm happy I was able to be able to build as much as I did in the little time I had. It wasn't all a waste. I built probably one of the coolest lift hills and now have a lot of people knowing what I can do with little pieces of plastic.

EDIT:
For next year, however, I am looking into a smaller, more manageable coaster that's still as impressive as what I could do with Skyrush.

Here's my coaster as of right now. I could still put most of it together, but I don't have nearly enough room.

I could have finished my Skyrush recreation if my teacher gave me enough time to complete it. If I knew I wouldn't have enough parts or space (hypothetically speaking, since I did have more than enough parts and an adequate amount of space), then I would have made it into a custom coaster.
