On August 30, 2012, Six Flags Great Adventure is going to have a big announcement about their 2013 investments for the park. There are many rumors, with the latest SFGA won't be receive its 400+ ft, Giga Drop Tower until 2014. So the question now is, what will Six Flags Great Adventure receive 2013? Many people on the Project 2012 Facebook page for Skyrush believed that it indeed was the drop tower, but those plans may be put off for a few years to make way for another attraction. Any ideas/speculations? We're sure to find out withing the upcoming weeks!

The proposed drop tower would be attached to Kingda Ka, correct?

^ It might have to be. There's no way Intamin can build a 400+ foot freestanding drop tower.

A drop tower on Kingda Ka? Judging by the supports, I don't think that will be a very easy job to do.

That's the rumor that's going around. It would be similar to the way Lex Luthor Drop Tower was made/used. However, it would be put on the back of the ride, facing the same way as KK's Launch.

You could probably only put one car on the drop tower then...imagine the terrible capacity.

I wouldn't be surprised if this happened, Six Flags has pulled off so many butt wiping projects like this before.

I have a large imagination.

What if they transformed the structure from a triangular structure to a square structure and were able to fit 4 drop towers an it? I doubt they would ever do that, because that would be a very difficult task, but you know, you never know.

Six Flags might get a winged coaster but I my be wrong. I did read a rumor that they also may remove bizzaro for the new coaster(which would suck in a way).

Screamscape says the rumor is a waterslide, which sounds true.

An X Flight clone will probably come to the park in a few years

Sure they can... you don't really think a group of professional designers and engineers couldn't figure it out and pull it off, do you?

They have an issue to tackle if they want to put it on the backside on the tower... Posted Image

Or better be a damn big car. Or two/three tracks on the front side.

That picture gave me an idea...what if they mounted 2 towers on the sides of the elevator? I think it would be cool to have a drop tower inside the structure.

I guess they can. That would have to be one wide ass tower though. 30-40 ft in diameter?
