So this is the lift of a new coaster I'm building. Don't worry, I'm still working on Twister. This is just a side project. Since I'm using mainly grays for Twister(being a woodie after all) I'm only using my brighter colors that are only going to be used for this. What you see so far is about as tall as it is getting. I intend to add another support or two to the lift. This is my first tubed coaster so I hope it comes out nice.

Sorry the picture is a bit hazy but it is night right now and I didn't have much lighting.

So far, I can only see one flaw: it doesn't have any room for the chain. I do see that you have installed an inverted chain guide, but I would still highly recommend to use a different support style and have room for it that way.

Also, if I were you, I would try to modify the base to where it is not as piece consuming. Look at my version of Stunt Flight for an example; as you can see, I used a blue rod base two but also many different techniques that made it not only made it a piece saver, but also more versatile.

^ It looks like the chain is going to go through the base.

Looks like a strong start. Can't wait to see more.

I plan on having the chain come down from the top and under all of the supports. It would be difficult to put an inverted chain guide below due to the fact that I have plans to have track going under the lift. Also I currently feel confident with the support structure I have right now and I have plenty of pieces to use for this build.

Yes you are correct. I hope to build more!

Wow, this is one of the best lift hills i've ever seen! :P

Thanks!

As piece consuming as the base apparently is, it looks like a good strong base. I also like the look of that spine under the track. Not seeing much bend in it at all so overall, a very good start. Any ideas as to what this coaster is going to be?

This looks familiar to me, like I've seen it before. I guess not. It looks super strong so far, have fun building!

I finally had some time after school today so finished the lift. Sorry for all the papers but my mother was doing some filing. Here are some pics:

^The supports only look wonky because of the awkward angle I had to hold the camera at. Refer to the bottom picture to see that they are straight.

You might want to add another support in the middle of the lift, just in case. The lift looks very straight and the supports look sturdy. I also love the chain guide under the lift!

\/ Oh, ok. Your lift must be very strong then!

The signature you have requested is not available at the moment. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I've tested the lift with four fully weighted trains and the lift doesn't sag or wobble at all in the middle.
\/ Yeah. I'll upload some close ups of what I did for the lift next time I update or maybe just tomorrow.

I'm so excited to see how this turns out. Please use lubrication from the start and have some variation of elements maybe. It is very realistic where the motors are right under the gear on the top of the drop. The screamin serpent clear motors are stronger, if the one's you have don't work that good.

Thanks. Also I am going to be running 2 trains of 4. I only currently have one that is fully weighted and lubed as of right now. I am only using these motors for convenience although I may switch them out if the SS ones are that much better although two of these carry the train up the lift just fine. Mind you this is my first tube supported coaster and will hopefully be the first project I've finished on this site.

Once again I will reply to future comments in this post until the next update .

I'm feeling more comfortable doing smaller updates more frequently for this build so here is the shaping for the first drop. Some supporting still needs to be done but I feel fairly confident with what I have so far:

It looks cool, but i think that you should add a bit more banking in the drop

Supports coming. The tubing looks good and the shaping is fine except I do agree more banking is needed. The first drop looks a bit like half an overbanked turn in RCT3 from here but nothing that can't be solved.

Either it should not get so steep where the gears are and have a more even angle of descent, or there needs to be more banking. It's certainly smooth though, and the supports look pretty nice.

Ok so I finally finished the drop. I worked on the banking and shaping quite a bit and I am happy with what I currently have:

Wow you have two iMac's! You guys must be weathy. The track looks study but I think that the turning part should be up higher. Just my thought but it's your coaster so do want you think is best.

I have two iMac's because one is my mothers old iMac that I use and one is her work computer that she currently uses. She is a graphic designer so she needs a Mac for work and no I wouldn't consider my family really wealthy since those are the only computers in the entire house.
