need to exactly be based off your park chain but some things should be taken from
that chain. The cost is how much a ride cost. Most gentle and flats do not cost
anything. Drop towers cost points, and roller coasters cost points. I can not say how
much each will cost exactly, but look at the first post to see estimates. I will update the
charts sometime in the next 2 days, because some rides, such as impulses, are not
going to cost as much to build as high as say a giga coaster like Millennium Force. The
point of the game is to build the best park possible within the limitations, then you try
and win awards each 'year'. The more awards you win the more points
you get, and the more roller coasters you will be able to buy. If the game continues
long enough you will be able to purchase a new map for a certain amount of points.
You need to consider how much you are willing to spend every year, and how much
you will make back through awards. Try and make the park as realistic as possible.

subject to a extension, depending on how far people are around August.

with like only one major coaster, like a woodie, and like a few flats? Cuz usually Parks
start out with woodies or sumitn cheap...and are we basing it as if the park is just
opening in present day or if its opening back in the 70s or sumtin?

be back in 1800's if you want. You can make it 2020 if you want. Most parks
however will probably be based on the present time. The first 'year' will be
exactly that the parks first year. Im not going to tell you how many coasters to put in,
or what to put in. You have 50 points to start and you have to use a strategy to
determine how much you are willing to spend each year and how much you can get
back by winning some awards to get some more points so you can keep building new
roller coasters. I remember the first year at NE a park that spent virtually none of
their points in the first round ended up winning a lot of awards and after 2 or so years
they had 100 or so points. So the game is all about your RCT2 skills and how you
spend your points.
Also I have just come up with a new idea. Sometimes a
park will sell a roller coaster to another park for money. After the first year, you can
make deals with another person to have your roller coaster relocated to their park, and
they can pay you whatever you agree on. This means if a park wants to remove a
roller coaster they can sell it to another park at a reduced price. This will be discussed
more later on since it does not matter in the first year.
A few more notes.
You may post 1 screen of your park per year. So right now you can only post one
screen of your park. When you are finished you are going to send it to an email
address that will be determined later, this email will be accesible to all the judges.
I posted an example of a first year park I still have from CoasterHaven (RIP).
This park's first year was 1980. I will try and post some more examples as we
go on.

just wanna be crystal clear on this....
If we use coaster track as scenery,
does that actually count as a coaster? Like if we make a little decoration for a bulding
using some track from a roller coaster....would you count the deco as a coaster?
And shops...How much do these cost?
I have like one or two
more questions...but I dont wanna give my ideas away to other parks/people...So ill
PM you!

coaster, for instance if its used for supports or decoration, does not cost anything.
About the dueling coasters from the quick research I did on RCDB. I found
that wooden racer/duelers cost about twice as much. I could not find much info on
steel duelers though. The final verdict is they will cost the same. The will only count as
one, since they will cost the same as a single coaster.

coaster that had a height of 65ft (above sea level), highest drop of 88ft, and max
height above ground at 60ft? do you say it has 13 units for being 65ft above sea level
or 12 units for being 60ft above ground or 18 units for having about a 90ft drop?

highest point of the ride. So if it had a 90ft difference from the top point to the lowest
point it would be 18UNITS. So something like storm runner which is only 150ft tall but
has a drop of 180ft would be 36UNITS.

ok. so if a coaster
went from like +70 down to -5 (feet) it would be 15 units.
correct.
When we send you the parks, do you want us to get rid of the
peeps?
Also, I know you set the date for Sept. 1st but I think it should be moved
up. I know it is the first year so people have to make the landscape, start from
scratch, etc but it just seems like an awfully long time. With only 50 points, I could
build a few coasters for the first year in less than a week. Just my 2 cents. Maybe I
am the only one who worked on my park because its year 1 will be finished soon.
