Over the past few weeks, I have been thinking of what my next K'NEX coaster will be.

For whatever reason I was watching a lot of Theme Park Review's videos on YouTube at the time. After binge watching their videos, I found a roller coaster that would be perfect. The largest portable roller coaster called Olympia Looping.

After I finished my latest coaster Blizzard, plans for my replica of OL were started. Haven't got any good ideas for a lift yet though because similar to mindbender, the lift is curved instead of straight.

I have considered using those large tires on the track, but how would I do that without using multiple motors?

Feel free to share any ideas, but keep in mind I'll probably start construction in January.

This will be a very tough ride to recreate, but I am excited to see how it turns out. Good luck!

how do you want to make the tire lift hill?

The best way to make the lift is by using those large tires to push the train up the hill. But I want all of them to be connected to one motor instead of multiple motors.

Perhaps you could use a cog system connected to each set of tires? Or, you could cheat a little and make some sort of 'pusher', whereby a rod connected to a chain running below physically pushes the train upwards, a little like this perhaps?

(Never going to miss the opportunity to embed my own videos ;))

Anyway, good luck with this  It's pretty ambitious...but I like that!

I've recently started experimenting with the loop style most schwarzkopf roller coasters have.

I don't have any good pictures yet. Maybe once I've finished the loop I can show.

A cog system could work, but I was thinking of building a system of gears below the coaster connected by chain that will rotate each tire.

Now obviously this will probably be too labor intensive for a K'NEX motor, so I might use a drill.

I can't provide a hand-drawn drawing at the moment, but here is an isometric computer drawing of my plan.

Designs are not final.

I definitely think that what you have planned will eventually work, but boy does that look like a headache...

Might have to make a larger one for the coaster though.

At the moment, this project will be "cancelled." (I put quotes there because I do want to return to this in the future.)

Awwwwwww ...

The loop should be enlarged, especially the first one.
