I usually use silicone spray so I'm not sure. I'm sure it would work but sometimes they aren't as good long-term, the affect they have on the car's speed may only last a few days. And sometimes if you leave it on too long without cleaning the axle it can make the car go slower. I'd say you could maybe try it out on one car and if it works you could use it. Just make sure to clean the cars regularly.

I've heard that using oil based lubricants can damage the plastic, but I'm not sure if that's just a specific type of oil.

I'm not sure because i can't see the viscosity of you oil.

I would recommend some 5W-20 (synthetic) motor oil.

 

silicone spray work fine as well.
