Spent some time yesterday shaping the zero-g-roll and I gotta say I'm pretty happy with the results. Next up is the cobra roll which might end up like the banana roll in steel curtain thanks to Chaos's recommendation. Took a few videos that I'll upload when I have the time.

you could try supporting the cobra rolll with the corkscrew but only if the corkscrew is sturdy

I love this I actually love how the corkscrew is so close to the center of the Cobra roll. Good job taking the feedback and tweaking the shaping. The zero-g roll has good heart lining now. I would say you could take craz idea and try to support the cobra with the cork.

Its been awhile since my last update. Sad to say that pretty much nothing from my original design is remaining. I learned so much so quick that I ended up using all of the advice regarding smooth transitions and strengthening the track and ended up rebuilding pretty much everything. Massive improvement. Looks really good. The only transition that still looks a bit off to me is the entry into the loop.

Thanks! I can't wait to finish this one too! I'm moving in the middle of October so I should have it complete soon!

Thanks! Yeah, that flat spot in the transition to the first loop has been bugging me for awhile too just wanted to get the layout complete b4 I start going back and fixing little things like that. Otherwise I'll end up staring all over again hahaha.

This looks great! I’m amazed at the improvement from the original coaster to this (especially given this is your first custom coaster) - really well done!!

Update
By strengthening everything leading up to the cobra roll I realized I am carrying too much speed into this element so I decided to increase the size and replace the flexies with grey rods. Here is the result Attached File  20200822_152606.jpg   244.48KB   0 downloads

Wow! Glad you're still working on this, and hope you can finish and make a good video before you move! I've had the misfortune of being in that position a few times, so I feel your pain.

Almost there. Just need to add a few more turns and dips, the station, and the motor for the chainlift

Finally finished my layout just need a little fine tuning along with figuring out how to attach the 12v knex motor or just use my drill on the lowest speed setting.

Finally completed this beast. I didn't have time to add the lift chain at the station but here she is in all her glory. Coming in at 13' long 80" tall at the lift hill with the loop coming in just under 5'.

Fantastic job on this roller coaster, and for this being your first custom one just makes that even more the better.

Thanks, If it wasn't for this site I never would have even thought of building something on this scale and it most definitely would not have been this good.
