www.coasterdynamix.com It's a new model that came out

this year and is becoming very popular. They're also getting ready to come out

with a smaller model in the next week or two.

Agreed! Are there pics of this smaller model? Do they only have inverted models?

Not yet. the trains on the new model will be inverted too, but you can flip the seats in

different positions and make different trains like this guy did http://coasterdynami...ry.aspx?album=8 I'll be

getting the set when it first comes out and I'll post a bunch of pics.

wow, the

interchangable seats remind me of that cheapass six flags model they used to make.

My mom didnt know it was dumb, but i got it, and it just gives you boosters, sucky

supports and interchangable trains. It was cool for a bit, but only launched models got

a little boring, so i set up a continuous snake dive thing and watch it when i'm

bored. If CD comes down to $100, you can say goodbye knex coasters(for a

litlle while anyway)

Agreed. They should make them smaller pieces and

some way to bend then and then snap them into place to make them extra sturdy.

You can change them around and stuff. . .if I recall

correctly someone made a replica of Raptor. It was quite nice. But I can have more

fun with 5 to 6 K'Nex sets for a total of about $200(off of Ebay, if you

can swing it) then one CD set for $500.

It all comes down to realism. From a 3' drop a

Knex coaster loses energy very quickly. The coasterDynamix model can travel

60-70' from the same drop. Not to mention the track and train are much more

scale in appearance. It boils down to what you want, I guess. The inverted train is

standard. The floorless train was custom built and takes a lot of time to make. It is not

a stock item. It is, in fact very customizable. I have a model now that has a 4'

drop, 2 Immelmans, a loop, 2 corkscrews, a cobra roll, a heartline, numerous hills and

valleys, and close to 80' of track. I am operating three 8-car trains with brakes

(custom made) and block sensors (same). It is 16' long and only 2' wide. I

would say this system is very flexible!

The thing I like is that it wont take as long to build a

ride. With knex it takes forever to build supports, but with the supports already built for

you, you can come up with crazier designs quicker. And think of the themeing you

could do with the left over knex.

CoasterDynamics is just completely awesome. I

seriously was contemplating buying a set, and although I had enough saved up for 6

sets or so, I decided to wait for one for Christmas and save my money.

I think they'd make more money if they'd

sell them for about $100. So then more people could afford it instead of

mooching off their parents.

Yeah, they should make it cheaper, but without losing

too much of it. If they do it so that the layout could be easily done on an SS, then no

$$$ spent on that. But I just don't have enough

$$$, and being 13, there's no way I can get a job.
