Yeehaa, De Efteling (just 2 miles away) is going to build a new roller coaster. Actually it'll be a water coaster.
De Efteling is well-known because of its well-themed rides, and De Vliegende Hollander will have theming of the Flying Dutchman-legend (http://ms.essortment...flying_rrqy.htm).
Construction pictures are available here:
http://www.eftelist.nl/dvhbouw.html
The site is Dutch, but you can try to view the other pages.
There's no lay-out yet, but I'll let you know if there's any news at the Eftelist website.

Of course, you guys don't know much about this one, so I'll post the current status:

The park is closed, and because of that, construction on the coaster part of the ride has been started. Friends went to Belgium, to a steel factory, and saw the first track pieces of the ride.

I think it looks like Maurer Söhne track. Premier doesnt use that track anymore, they use the intamin style now. See Italian Job.

But yeah I think youre getting a X-Car coaster.

^True, but that type of track is only used on latter parts of intamin rides.

Anyway, yeah. look at these links of Maurer Söhne coasters:

I agree with Ryan now, you're getting an X-car coaster.

I think I know, theyre getting a water coaster, from the MAKERS of the Xcar coaster, Maurer Söhne. That makes the most sense right now.

The roller coaster is MOST PROBABLY built by Kumbak. When Vekoma (yes, it's Dutch) bankrupted, they had to 'fire' some people. Those people started their own (Dutch) company, called Kumbak (come-back). They have also built the new trains of the Python, located next to de Vliegende Hollander (the Flying Dutchman).

It looks more like premier track than Maurer Sohne track to me. Premier still used that kind of track for the mummy not too long ago.

Its definatly not premier. They have different ties, the ties on premier track do not completly touch the spine, theres a gap between them. Shown In Image

While the Maurer Söhne style track, has ties that touch the spine completly..

PS: Gump, from now on, I think you can just post links to the pics...

Looks exactly like an X-car coaster. I doubt the water part though. Looks to twisted.

Ehh, i dont know, it still is an X car coaster  . I think it might be kumbak, as it looks different from almost every other coaster track, but it also could be Maurer Söhne, should be interesting to see the final product though.

Why would it be Maurer Söhne when there are Kumbak people walking around the construction area? :P

That is because I am not the only one taking pictures of the coaster. Someone zoomed in on a builder's helmet and compared it with the Kumbak logo -> the same.
And I already told you it's Kumbak, so don't doubt that anymore :)
