Thanks fantom. Good luck with those. They look hard.

Well not so much hard as intricate, time-consuming, and tough on the fingers. I haven't done anything else as of yet, but i'll either get tomorrow or thursday off from baseball, so i will try to work then.

If you look at the pics, he does have box supports on the lift. Just a row of them though, coupled with the columns.

Great job so far.

I think he said that he would take the box supports off once he finishes the other kind of support, and it is strong.

I would NEVER have the patience to do this. Or pieces and everything. If CC10 pulls this off I will feel amazed and go hide in a very dark corner so no one car see me and hide away my terrible coaster designs cause they are nothing compared to this. Great job!

^Those are very interesting supports CC10. They don't seem very effective, but knowing you, they are probably working very nicely fo you. Is that a new design, or is it just the first time I've seen it, because I've never seen anything like it before.

Very interesting indeed.......

I like the chain catch. It's the most realistic lifthill I've ever seen. I still am amazed at how realistic the supports look.

^^It's not new. But this is the first time use on such a big coaster. Plus he's only doing it on the lift.
Great job CC10. I wish the chain catch would go all the way to the bottom instead of half way, but it's still nice.

What pieces did you use for the catch? You should add railings to the lift. Looks awesome btw

Ya, those supports aren't new. Coastergeekrct made the screamin serpent with those supports but never posted pix. I also used them in Ceres.

Well his are obviously way better then yours Rollerdude......JK JK. I figured that they had been done before becasue over all this time no one would think of making more realistic supports???? dosen't make sence.

^it's because they consume pieces like a Knex eating monster and don't even hold that well.

Exactly. But in my case, they worked to my advantage. I didn't have enough green and dark grey rods so I decided to use those.

I used the tan clips for the catch. I'm probably going to switch them to gray holed connectors though, i have more of them.

I think i'm going to move on now. If i have the pieces left over, i'll go back and make the flower supports. Right now, it's strong enough and i have tons of things to take down. I also have a couple of flat rides that i'm going to put around this. Never before seen scrambler-type ride and an innovative pirate ship ride.

When are you going to show us pictures of the flatrides? I hope it's not when you finish this. Can't wait to see the drop.
