I'm making an X, need suggestions/help

two options because the spot I have is the largest I'm gonna get in the house. So
I can either go for realism and have the dip after the lift hill, or extend the lift hill
upwards in place of the dip which would put it about a foot and a half higher, the trains
are already REDICULOUSLY heavy, and I smoothed out the pull out a lot so it goes
a lot faster through that part now, what do you think I should do, go for the realism of
the dip, or go for the extra speed insurance and being able to have taller
elements(hopefully).
I have never asked for any suggestions, but I am
desperate for a solution from all views.

if the cars are heavy why dont you buy another set then all of your problems will be
solved.

how would that help.
But
the coaster is looking great.
lot Josh! the possitive comments always help a model along quicker. Getting
another set would'nt help, maybe later if I ran out of pieces but I can't
make the room any longer, if I could I would keep the dip, I might buy another set
though because they are on clearance at walmart for $40 dollars.

want to edit the track for when it comes up, instead of going strate up for a wile just
have it come to level and start going down the hill, because of the looks of it it might
not make it. But you are doing a pretty good job.

I am sure it would wrok. And when you take pics just have the cars on it to make it
loo like it worked with the heavy cars! haha!! It looks really good so
far! Can't wait to see it finished!

planning on making the track like that, I just made it go up so I could see how high and
fast it would go. I still don't know whether I should have the dip or more height.
Question, how much faster does a train go if you put wd40 on the axles of the cars ? I
am planning on doing that but I wanna know, thanks.
Coasterfreak11- I
won't take any weight off the cars, they are just too cool looking, lol, seriously, I
don't even wanna show pics of them for certain reasons, lol.

because it did'nt have an "add to cart thing" like other products, dang
wal-mart. It would have been such a great deal, $40!

suggest puttin in the dip for realism and also putting WD40 on the train wheel bogies, it
decreases the amount of friction loss on the track !
YOu can get ss
coaster kits cheap on ebay ! about $40

pretty good, I had to make the curve at the top of the raven turn sudden so the front of
the train will pull the rest over, I want to keep as much potential energy at the top of
every hill I can get so I can make the ride last long with high hills. Tell me what you
guys think.
SUPPORT/MOTIVATION IS GOLDEN!
Here are the new pics

Great
shaping, (I would know, I have ridden X 5 times now) but you would want to
smoothen the lateral change in direction on the turn, as it looks very sudden.
Supports look very strong as well...
Keep it Up!

me, I am aware of every difference lol, I have been privilaged to have ridden X 21
times, and many hours gawking at it by the road, lol. Ya know, thanks for saying that
anyways it made me think about it and that realism and EXTRA quality are very
important, I knew that that was a problem, I did that so it would not use as much
energy turning while heading straight up, but I'm sure it'll work anyways. I
assure you I will be needing every bit of supporting I am putting up, the trains are
awesome and massive, lol. I just got another set by the way so I can continue
construction and also I got another middle car so It will have more continuous
momentum.
Feed back is loved!

PE(Potential energy)=More realism/higher hills= Sweet coaster
Note:
More mass=the need for more structially sound supports.
Looking very
nice so far, keep it up!

haha. Most all the time I only produce the best supports I can, but for this it will be the
finest that my piece inventory will supply to keep the track from moving.
NEWS! I connected the top of the raven turn to the next tower support and
there is a big problem yet funny. Most of the time I send it through, the speed is fine,
but the nose of the train snaps off when it enters the top curve of the raven turn!
Now it's not hitting anything, the turn is not too tight that it makes it snap off, the
only logical explanation is that there are a lot of positive g's in the top curve and
due to the heavy weight of the trains, it increases the force, but even that solution is
questionable because the drops pull-out obviously has many more g's than the
top raven turn curve. I even tried putting everything on the train backwards so the
back car would be the front car as it only has one wheel assembly so there
would'nt be anything to snap off, but because of train clearance issues that
woud'nt work either. So now I have to figure out how to keep that nose pin in
the "C" socket. Just thought I would update with something. I could make
the trains ligher by being dumb and putting just a couple dumb white connectors for
seats, but that would be dumb as the train looks so awesome that I won't touch
it, lol.

higher to slow the train down a bit so it will pull less Gs. That might work if you have
enough speed. I know you said that the turn isn't too tight but if you made a
wider arc, than there will be less Gs.

anymore, if it does it again oh well, I want to continue with the track because I can fix
that later.
After testing that nose problem coming off seems to be
gone completely now. The big problem I have had now is that I have had to change
the seats on the train so they don't rotate! What do you think about this
change ? I know it's the whole function of this but it makes it go noticeably
faster. The up sides to this are that it goes faster and makes it over the raven turn and
when it is inverted it will be able to go lower to the ground. What are you opinions on
this situation. Is it that bad that they will stay in the loading position ?

reasons:
1. As you pointed out your train is going faster. The movement
of those freely rotating seats would understandably counteract the train's
forward motion. So, I say leave 'em in a fixed position.
2. When the
train is going around the track, I think it would tough to tell what position the seats are
in at any given point diring the ride- so long as the train is in motion. I've
watched the video of the real X and tried to follow the position of the seats, but I
found it to be very difficult. So, I say leave 'em in a fixed position.
