I say it's not bad at all

for two main reasons:

1. As you pointed out your train is going

faster. The movement of those freely rotating seats would understandably

counteract the train's forward motion. So, I say leave 'em in a fixed

position.

2. When the train is going around the track, I think it would

tough to tell what position the seats are in at any given point diring the ride- so long as

the train is in motion. I've watched the video of the real X and tried to

follow the position of the seats, but I found it to be very difficult. So, I say

leave 'em in a fixed position.

The seats would not just swing around, when on top of the track they would rest

against a bar so they would be in the reclining position and when it is inverted they

would hang down by gravity. I know exactly how X's seats rotate through the

whole ride, if I could control the movment in the seats I would do it in an instant, but

seeing how you can't, I won't.

News, I just finished the pull

out from the raven turn and it runs great, I just need to add some re-enforcement to

the drops supports and it will be perfect. It is so awesome by the way!

I will add a pic or two if I am feeling nice :-D or if I get around to it :-D

Here is a pic of the completed raven turn and it's finished pull out.

Concerning the picture showing the top raven turn supports the two supports that hold

the track are'nt both at the top like the real X but it's okay, they are very

strong by the way, also the raven turn pull out supports are INCREADIBLY strong,

even stronger than the drops pull-out, if I push down REALLY hard on them they only

move a few millimeters! I put just connectors under the bases of the supports

because of the squishy carpet and it keeps it from sinking it a lot. Hope you enjoy.

And tell me what you think ?

Because there is the

640x480 pic size rule and you can hardly see anything. If you want to see more and

larger pics go to the link (when the bandwidth has been renewed) that I had given

before.

EDIT: I will try one picture out.

Sorry, I just can't do that,

surprise! they are soo cool looking though that you would flip out of your chair.

This may be silly but I don't want somebody to go and use the trains on some

piece of (something**) coaster with an inside loop and a turn into the lift and that has

two supports on the whole thing.........lol that was quite a post was'nt it.

Yeah, I was thinking about puttin a sheet or something over part of the mirror so you

could see the coaster better.

Just letting you all know that I just

made the transfer table track for the transfer track. I had to do this before the turn so

I could build all the storage track station track and then I can build around that for the

turn supports. After I build the station and storage track I will install the truss for the

bunny hop and track for it. I would put a picture up but I don't have much time, I

gotta get to homework.

Truss, huh? I can't wait to see this. I'm

really into trusses these days. I plan to use several in my next model. Well I look

forward to seeing your model... and your truss. B)

Well, there are actually TONS of trusses, large one

on the lift, and a continuous small truss as a spine to the track from the raven turns pull

out and to the end of the bunny hop. I too am a huge fan of trusses, they are soo

cool! because you can support tons of lenght with a skinny piece of enginuity.

Oh yea, and all of the tracks, transfer table, storage track, station will be powered by

motors so it can be controlled by the station.

I just completed the transfer table for the transfer track

system. Now the storage track is'nt where it is on the real one but I can't

put it through the wall can I, well I could but my parents would kill me. So instead of

the storage track being put behind the station and on the other side of the lift's

truss, it is on the side of where the station will be, and under the future turn-around.

There are two spools on each side to pull the track on both sides so it does'nt

swivel. The only thing that I don't agree with is because of the old roller coaster

set track connectors it lunges, but only the slightest bit, I don't even consider that

a problem. It works perfectly though, slow too(because of the small spool size), just

like a real one, and I also used thick paper for the transfer track rails and will use it for

the storage track too so I don't have to cut the precious tube. Also I made this

for a real reason, so I can take the train on and off of the track easier for putting wd40

on the axles.

Enjoy, tell me what you all think.

Here you can see the extended shaft to accomadate the

two spools so they are alligned with everything, also the transport feature on the

transfer track. All the motors will have extended cords, and will be controlled by

buttons to test electrical out for my steel coaster model.
