There probably won't be many updates for

awhile b/c I need another SS set to complete the model.
I added a crude storage

track next to where the station will be and stairs going up the 1st lift hill on the right

side.

Its well worth the wait as long as you finish the

coaster successfully. It sounds like it is coming along nicely and I like the effects you

are adding. good job westside

The stairs I built going up the lift hills have been

removed. I had trouble making the stairs on the transition sections so I gave up. The

coaster sits dormant most of the time except for a test run every couple of days. I

sure hope I get another set for X-mas so I can finish this because I already have tons

of ideas for my next coaster!

I was outside the other day with my friend and my

mom just arrived home from doing errands and such. She didn't know we were

outside and she yelled at me when I saw here in the garage holding a large bag with a

large box inside! She yelled because she didn't want me to see what was

inthe bag! :D I think it means I will be

getting a new coaster set soon! I still don't know wether or not it is RR or

SS!

Anyway, the 2nd half of Banshee does not satisfy me. Since I

can't complete the coaster until I get another set, I am going to redo everything

after the immelman. I am not sure what I will be building but you can expect 1

inversion if not 2.

If you got an rr, would you use the boosters and the rr

cars to get a satisfied amount of inversions in the end.

No, I have an RR and I don't want to use the

boosters because that would defeat the purpose of it being a stand-up coaster b/c the

RR car sucks. I perfect SS custom cars. If I did get an RR for X-mas, I would use

the peices and track but not the boosters. However, 2 RR would be cool because

sometime in the future I could build an huge rocket coaster!

You could make a huge rocket coaster recreation with

no rubber bands.

Just a small update. I have tried to add a decent

corkscrew but using the tutorial on Andrew's coaster site was too small so the

coaster had too much speed. A bigger version proved to have not enough speed to

complete it.

So, after the immelman, would you guys want to see either:

a) helix and then a barrel roll

or

b ) 2 small corkscrews

that the train flies through, one would be a corkscrew to the left and the other would

go to the right.

I have started the helix but I don't know what I

am going to have after it. I might be able to make a corkscrew. I won't add a

barrel roll if there is too much speed.

The helix is complete and I still have a few flexi rods

remaining; hopefully enough to complete the coaster. The helix is a kind of oval shape

but looks very nice. It takes all of the speed out of the coaster so teh third lift will

begin right next to where the tunnel starts.

The third lift hill begins right after the helix and is

slowly making its way towards the sky! The slope if very gentle because I want

to make sure the motors can pull up the heavy custom train. I also don't know

whether or not I will include a station. It depends on the space I have.

The 3rd lift hill is cresting the top. I will finish the lift

soon. I just took off all the tubing and changed it so I can use all of teh uncut RR

tubing I just got in place of my chopped up SS track. So, the top of the 1st lift , drop,

loop, cutback, and bunny hops have purple tubing and green flexis. Inside the tunnel,

the track changes colors and the rest of the ride is red with mostly yellow flexis. It

looks very cool! Since I have a lot of tubing and track left over, after the third

lift hill, the train will drop down a little bit and to teh left. Then it will go into a half

corkscrew to teh right and then a half loop. (diving loop) Then the train will go into a

upward curve to the left and into the 1st lift hill. That will make a total of 4 inversions

and perhaps one of the longest coasters to feature inversions! This coaster is a

beast!

That sounds awsome. Are you confident that the

train will make the full circuit?

The train already can make it to the 3rd lift. The 3rd

lift is complete and the motor works well. I will not make a diving loop b/c the 3rd lift

isn't tall enough. Maybe a barrel roll. The coaster is almost done.

At the top of the 3rd lift hill, the train enters the

station. The station is simple in design but looks awesome. It looks kind of like the

Superman flyer stations. The station is about 1.5 feet above the ground. I don't

know what I will add after the station. Perhaps a swooping drop to the left and then a

270 degree turn to the right and then a turn to the left so the train will be right at the

start of the 1st lift.

BANSHEE IS COMPLETE!

Banshee is now a full curcuit and works smoothly. After the station, Banshee starts

to drop to the left but then goes into a helix to the right before going into a upward

curve into the 1st lift.

Banshee riders will board their trains standing up in

the elaborate station situated 1.5 feet above the ground. The journey begins as the

train dips down out of the station and into a tight helix that ends in a swooping drop

followed by a upwards curve into the 1st lift hill. After climbing up to a height of

5' 7'', Banshee plummets riders 5 feet towards the ground and then

rockets them through the largest vertical loop at 3' 4''. Then, riders

fly through a cutback and then over 2 bunny hills. After the 2 hill, all goes dark as the

train roars through a tunnel. Bursting out of the tunnel, Banshee banks to the left and

turns 180 degress and into the 2nd lift hill. Cresting the top at about 4', riders

enter the pre drop and then fall back down to earth and then into a large immelman.

Following the immelman, Banshee riders enter a large helix to teh left and then hit the

3rd lift which slowly takes riders back to the station. Riders travel through that whole

course, standing up.

Banshee is the 1st K'NEX stand-up coaster and

is one of the only coaster to feature 3 lift hills. Banshee also includes the largest

vertical loop.

I will have pics up soon and maybe a video.

I have strung rope lights on the coaster and I need to

clean up the excess peices to prepare for the photo shoot! I also need to cover

the tunnel. I don't know what material would be best. I want the tunnel to be as

dark as possible. I don't want anything shiny like tin foil or garbage bags. ANy

ideas?
