I would say that the lateral movement starts right when it starts to move up. The last thing you wanna do is make it go sideways right at the top and thus the entire loop ends up messing up. It doesn't move throughout the entire loop though, once it goes over the top, it straightens out and goes to the ground.

^So basically you're saying the entrance of the loop has some lateral movement but the exit doesn't? You're wrong there. ;)

Perhaps it is just me but the direct middle section of the drop looks the tiniest bit straight - minimally straight though, i'm sure it will operate just as well but to me it's a tiny eyesore.

Here, hopefully this explains it better.

I know it's ever so minimal but it sticks out to me.

Dont look here silly, the posts up there ^^^^

Just build too support structures for the pull up and pull out. And let the top shape itself. Then you can add top supports.

This should help

Meh my loops just make a lateral movement at the top, and they look fine...

Here is a pic of my nearly perfectly shaped loop. I hope it helps, I think it might be the right size for you too, so if you want just copy it...

About the small straight part, not big deal IMO...

Okay, I'll see what I can do what I can do when I get home. I'll also change the flexis to grey rods to make it smoother.

Not sure how the greys make is unsmooth. I don't see any thing in that loop the would suggest they do. Also, it makes it loads easier to shape. Do what you want though I don't really care, as long as it's smooth...

when I used to try to use grey rods half way up the loop, it would just look awful when I connected flexis after cause they aren't strong enough to pull the grey's into shape.

Like I said I don't really care, he can do what he wants, the greys work for me...

Also, Wouter what the hell are you talking about? That is my loop, I was using it as an example, and what do you think it wrong with it? It is too small? WTF that loop is huge, and most people would say has a great shape. Sorry, but the post really made me mad...

the pullup/out should be smoother (like the same radii) and farther apart so the top can actually be a semi-circle.

I think I see a cobra roll once the loop is shaped correctly. I don't know though.

I see an immelman to the left, into a dive loop, then into a zero-g under the lift.

Yup, I know what you could do to improve on the loop:

The vertical points are too high compared to the total height of the loop. You could lower them, but that would take quite some time. To me, it looks like the upper half of the loop has a constant radius. You could make it a bit more clothoid, with a slightly pointier top. That way the vertical points are less high compared to the total height.

Hmm, seems like all of you have missed the ovbious. Right now the top is streched out(I have no idea what Gump was talking about it is not a constant radii) so what you have to do is either make the loop a bit skinnier or reshape the top. The pullout/up looks fine, no idea what fastman was talking about either...

if that is the height you want, you shouldn't lower anything....
