Well he should probably do an immlemman because that seems to be the standard inversion on dive coasters today and it looks good anyway.

An immelmann would be ok but not really original, how about a higly-banked overbank turn then on an immelmann

I would do the immelman. Don't do an overbanked on a dive coaster.
And a overbankled intoan immelman would just look wierd...

^ I actually am gonna do something of that sort starting with an immelmann. (<sp?) Anyways, I'm so sorry but I can't seem to come up with a good holding brake. Ive been working on it all day. I think I am just not going to do one. Sorry if I disappointed anyone.:(

Sorry for dp again, but I have an update! I have finished the drop and pullout. I also made the drop into the turn smaller so it creeps around it. Pics

the drop doesn't look any different to me but o'well the pullout may be a tad small but is nice and smooth. make the pullout a tad bigger and your good(like a half a grey rod higher)

It looks like the pull out may need to be little bigger, but I'm not sure without a side view of the whole drop (you don't have to). But I have an idea for part of the layout that I thought of when planning mine (that I won't be able to squeeze in). After the drop, make the usual immelmann twisting to the left 45 degrees. Then go into a dive loop that will twist you left 45 degrees that will put you parallel with the lift. Then make a rising turn around the vertical drop into a mid course brake run.

If you need a visual to see it, I can make one up.

That layout sounds great. Will you use the tutorial for dive cars? If yes i suggest you to build it now to see if your supports will be solid enough. Good job.

I actually am not going to use those cars because they weigh a ton. It will also conserve more speed without them. And, I have made the pullout bigger. Expect an update soon.

all right, i thought of the way to make a holding brake. First put a small section of chain around the drops crest(be sure to have a motor and 2 other gears). Then put a rubber band around the car so it holds the chain dog in place then it should be stoped by the chain when it hits it then all you do is operate the motor and your good to go. it did this on one of my earlier coasters and it work really well just make sure the rubber band is tight if you need a tut i could make one just let me know soon.

I'm sorry, but when I put the rubber band on, the chain dog rubbed against the middle tubing. Even when I took off the middle tubing, it hit the crossties, creating huge friction. Sorry, it doesn't work.

^yeah thats what happend to me but if someone can get that to not happen it would work.
EDIT:Well the holding brake worked didn't it because the holding brake worked but the chain dog rubbed aganst the middle tubing right?

Yeah, the brake worked fine, it is just the chain dog that didn't.
