IT HAS ARRIVED!!!

Yes Cellblock 13 is my newest coaster, and will feature a tube support structure. This will be a looper, but I plan on having only having a couple inversions. So far I have the lift and crest done, although I'll need to put on some tubing from Avenger. I'm pretty happy to finally be trying my hand at tube supports, and hopefully I can get some feedback from the tube support masters (TBM, MCM, Gump etc.) Here's a pic that says it all....

Oh, and ignore the random white snowflake connector in the lift structure. I was using that for something, but it'll be removed.

Tube supports FTW! Your tubes look strong, you connections look strong, and your track looks strong. Nothing else to comment on.
BTW, you don't need all those 3d's on the base (unless this is going outside).

Looking very sturdy indeed. I think those tube supports are looking good on every-sized coaster. The crest seems good too. Maybe a little more crossties to make it look better but like I said: it's very good right now.

I've been trying tube supports for a long time but it still just doesn't work out...

My signature is expericing a temporay delay and has therefore seized operation.

I really like the lift supports. I might go and buy a bunch of blue rods for that.

It would be really cool if you left it on the ping pong table though, unless you are already going to.

The supports and everything else is nice and sturdy. Hoppefully you can put on the tubing smooth. BTW have you decided what inversions you are going to add?

Save parts! use half moons and "snowflakes" instead of those 3D connectors on the base other than that... nice!

Wow, I don't know what it is about it, but it just looks amazing IMHO. I hope the whole ride will be as attractive as this. :P

Spectrum of steel: Thanks!! As for the base connectors, I don't have quite enough snowflake connectors to use them on the bases and the supports. Plus, there is a chance that I'll be putting this outside.

MKM: Thanks. :)

Jesper: Thanks, I added some more x-ties in and it looks better.

DDRman: Yeah, it's a baby tube supported coaster.

Nicostick: I like those supports as well, I can give you some close up pics of them if you want.

MP: I know, this is a suprise for you isn't it?? :iyes

nitrodude: I'm not sure about what inversions I'll add except that I will try to get a zero-g or corkscrew in. :tmbs

rollercoasterfreak: What I said to Spectrum of Steel. Thanks though.

Immelmann: I'll do my best to make this a worthy coaster. ;)

And now.....an update!! I know, I'm a slow builder when it comes to tube supports. I'm going to try to go for an Expedition Ge-force type drop, but it'll turn less than 90 degrees. I think it looks okay so far and, from what I can predict, it wont shake too much. Now onto the pics.....

Posted Image
Now that I take a good look at the pic, I'll probably make it a bit steeper.

No offense, but this coaster sure is progressing pretty slowly. Do you just have a lot of things on your hands? If so, then it's not your fault.

Anyways, I would say that you should bank the drop a bit more, and flare it. What are your plans for layouts...? Oh, and NO DON'T make it steeper. I think it's steeper than it should be now.

^ He said he's a slow builder with tube supports.
Looks alright to me. Maybe bank it a little more.

Okay well I ended up rebuilding the twisting part due to the fact that it got knocked over. I think it still looks fine though. More banking?? No??

It could use a little more banking, but it depends how much the drop turns.

It won't turn any farther than what you see. So should I move on???

How much is the drop turning? If it's turning 180 degrees, it will be hard to tell until the whole twist is done.

^^^^^^^sfgamguitarist: who cares if it is progressing slowly. at least he is building neatly, and it is accurate.
i think it looks good, but we neeed to know how much it is going to turn to see if it needs more banking.

I say go at your own pace, and if it turns out with good quality, then you've accomplished something. However, take forever, and it turns out rubbish, then you've just wasted a lot of time. So, make it worth it!
