Are you spending the night at the Breakers?

Either way, go to Maverick first. After that, go straight to Millennium Force. With the two largest coasters out of the way, stay in back until it gets crowded(around 2:00PM). Start to make your way up front and get all the rides up front. Save Top Thrill Dragster for the afternoon. When the ride first opens up, the crew only loads the first two or three rows so the ride can warm up. It takes two to three hours for them to open up all the rows. What should be like a 15 minute wait at 10:00 AM is actually an hour and a half. Been there, done that.

If you have time, do these rides at night:

Millennium Force
Maverick
Top Thrill Dragster
Magnum
Power Tower

Have fun. I would love to meet you, but I'm 1,500 miles away, so that would be a little tough to do. Take plenty of pictures and write a great report.

I don't have much advice as I went to CP for my first time about 2 weeks ago, but I would recommend staying at one of the hotels at the park (go for Breakers; I stayed in one of those Sandcastle cabins on the shore, and didn't like it much). You also get in an hour early if you stay at the hotels. In that first hour I rode Maverick twice and MF once with no wait, and did a lot of walking in between. Definitely worth it.

I also went during Mayfly season, which was annoying...they come in swarms...I'd never even heard of those things before...

Definitely not staying at the breakers. $215 a night is a bit much for me...

Thanks for the advice though. Hit up the back of the park until 2:00ish and then try for TTD...

Sounds good...

Anything else anyone?...

Go with what rollerdude said. Except I would go with Millennium Force first, and then Maverick. Just because Millennium usually will have the longest wait.

Definatly got to Maverick first then MF, if you dont get on maverick before noon then you'll have to wait 2 1/2 hours for the rest of the day. I would also be sure to get on Raptor and WT, there both amazing rides.

Don't say anything about mayflies unless you went when they were nymphs. They bite then...

Millennium Force front row at night is fun. You get PELTED with bugs. :D Usually ride it back row though, more airtime. It's hard to keep your eyes open in the front row (lots of wind). I also found that TTD's wait is short around four.

Thanks for the advice guys. My three friends, my brother, and I just arrived at the hotel about an hour ago. Now to wait it out until tomorrow...

Never realized Sandusky sucks ass town wise. It's rather shitty...

Don't go on MF at night. Ever. You'll get covered completely in those bugs.
Go Maverick first.
If you don't mind a night ride, get at the Dragster's line right at closing, they'll still let you ride.

Forget the bugs, definitely do Millie at night (just not front). Not from personal experience, but I've heard its definitely worth it. But he is right about lines staying open til closing, they'll finish the line before closing the ride.

I rode Millie at night...6 years ago. Wow I feel old. Anyway, I remember it being very large and majestic in everything-it was just dark and harder to see, but nothing was a surprise, or anything more or less exciting. The lift hill is totally badass with it's rainbow though.

As I said in my original post, Millennium Force, Maverick, Magnum, and Top Thrill Dragster are all great rides at night. Millennium Force is just like a drop into the abyss; for the majority of your ride, you can't see a thing. Maverick is similar. Besides the lights on the lifthill, and the dim lights in the canyon, there aren't any back there. Magnum at night is great because Soak City has closed, so it's very quiet, plus it gets pretty dark back by the pretzel turn. Lastly, probably the best ride at night, Top Thrill Dragster just goes so fast. All the lights next to the ride are streaks of white and amber. It's tough to get on all of them in one night, but they're all worth it.

Turns out it gets dark around nine right now so the whole night thing was kind of fail. We were going to get on Dragster but it broke down right before nine thirty so we just hit up Raptor a few times...

I will post a TR later, but now I must sleep...

BTW, Dragster is sick. First time on I was in front row...

^That's the best way to do a first ride on it. How do the rides look in your top 10?

Not really sure. For the park I would probably rate them like this...

TTD
Maverick
Millennium Force
Raptor
Magnum

That is all that was really worth mentioning IMO...
