It's pretty much been established that it's a hyper. We now know it is a red B&M, and if you don't see the land clearing in the layout pic in spooffa's first post, your an idiot.

Somehow, I completely missed that while laughing at the crappy picture. I've seen places jokingly say it'll be Intimidator 2## which is obviously inferior to Intimidator 305. If it's true... then that sucks.

Plus it supposedly costs $11 million because South Carolina gave them a huge tax refund or something... but I still don't know if that's enough for a very long hyper.

I'd expect a layout somewhat similar to 305 if this is also as NASCAR themed ride. I'd expect lots of low to the ground turns and probably some helixes.

I not really thrilled about the Intimidator at KD, so I how it's not the same thing. Yes, it would probably be the best coaster at Carowinds, but I'm not as excited as I was in the beginning.

From what I've heard, the ride is going to have an out and back layout, so we'll have to see in two days!

Everyone saying it's a hyper probably is wrong, unless the record they're going for is length (which probably isn't going to happen). It's probably going to break the record for most inversions.... Although it could be a hyper-looper (that would be awesome).

^Dude...this IS a B&M hyper. The footer layout pretty much confirms it as it is. This isn't gonna break a world record, but park records. Most likely tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the park. They advertise Diamondback as "The tallest, fastest, and meanest coaster ever to strike King's Island."

One thing we pretty much know for sure is this coaster won't have a predrop...

It's already been confirmed a hyper coaster by B&M. There are red B&M track pieces that are very thick, only used on hyper coasters.

Cost $23 million, 232 feet high, 5,316 feet long, 80mph, B&M hyper.

It's pretty much drop, J-turn hill, 'notha hill, hammerhead, two more hills, MCBR, rise into helix, helix, DB-esque final brake run.

It's like Nitro with a disappointing helix and the new B&M hyper trains.

Yeah, it really looks like it will beat DBack...

Still, it looks like a fantastic coaster! The S-curve drop will certainly kick some ass. I can't wait to get to this next year.
