I know this may seem self-explanatory, but I have been asked this question many, many times by other people. I may edit in pictures when I get the time.

To connect cars-

1 - Take a piece of yarn, about one inch long.
2 - Tie a knot at the very end of it. Tie one more knot on top of the first one to make it bigger.
3 - Tie two knots at the other end also.
4 - Cut of most of the extra yarn at the ends, leave a tiny bit.
5 - Repeat for however many cars you have.
6 - Put the knot into the little hole on the bottom of your VV car. Add as many cars as you want.

You can also use rubberbands for a more secure connector, but those are a lot more difficult to make.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't there pre-made rubber connectors for this? I know for sure that VV comes with one. VVSS come with two. If your cars keep coming detached, add two of them to each. If you need more, call KNEX, I ordered over 10 and it's free.

^ Yea there are, but not every slim track set comes with one, so people are left with a bunch of unconnected cars. I didn't know you could get them for free from K'NEX though. Do you call or email them to get them for free?

Just call there number. It's really easy. I just told them that the car connectors weren't sold on their website and I needed some. You just give them your address and they'll ship them. Get twice as much as you need to double brace cars, it definitely helps on the launch.

Thanks a bunch RC! Well, now this thread seems kinda useless...

EDIT - I found out the car connectors are NOT free, but cost $0.10 and can only be ordered over the phone or through email.

Thats wierd... I emailed knex and asked for them and they gave them to me free. And this was like 2 weeks ago.

I email knex for stuff all the time I've gotten like 3 ss cars ,26 black carbon fiber rods, 9 yellow gears, and a rr car a long time ago. ( after my brother sat on it while I was making my first ever custom (TTD))

This happened to me when I ordered some extra cars from KNEX.

Me: If I buy some cars from your online catalog, can I get a few of those rubber things to connect them?

Operator: Sure, how many do you need?

Me: Well, I ordered three cars.... How much are the rubber pieces?

Operator: I can give you some for no charge.

Me: Oh snap! Sure, give me, like, ten of 'em!

Operator: (chuckle) Okay, no problem. I'll add them to your order.

K'nex cars never come free. Just track splices and the little rubber connectors can be shipped for free. Sadly K'nex Holland is no more and you have to call some American number (or was it french?)

^I ordered an SS middle car and got it for free....not sure about front or back cars though..
