That looks incredible! It's very smooth.

Most people would just line the track back up with the supports, but yours swerves to the left of the supports on the pullout. That makes it much more flowing, and shows you weren't lazy. ;)

Do you guys think an MCBR would fit? Because the drop is definitely Intamin(ish), but everything else seems B&M. Of course, I'm not really following any specific company, just a thought.

Fine, don't answer.

Ok, I made a hill, and started a stengel dive. Only pay attention to the first half of the stengel, before the upside down x-tie.

Everything looks very good, as usual. ;) It's all shaped nicely, and you seem to be keeping speed well.

Only thing I think you should fix is where you spliced the track. I would use a splice rather than just push two x-ties together.

Dang, this coaster is really long, I can hardly keep up with the layout. Looks like you still have a good amount of speed left.

Well, I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that Rorschach is finished. No pics yet because it's late and I'm tired. The ending is mediocre, but I have to build a small coaster for history, so I need all of the extra pieces I can get. Anyway, it always makes everything, and I have an auto tire drive that works well. It works from the top of the lift down to the bottom.

The bad news: the lift stopped working. My terrain trekker motor stopped working right. Apparently I wore the gears down so much that it slips like a bitch. Now my mechanism is useless, and now I have to find some way to move a heavily weighted train 5 and a half feet up on a steep Incline. Drills are out of the question

Ouch... not good.

Will you need to take the coaster down for your history project? Only thing I can think of is to get a new motor, but I suppose you won't have time to if you have to take the coaster down.

If that's the case, here's what I'd do if I were you: I would take out a large section of supports somewhere, enough pieces to finish your history project, then replace the supports when you're done with the project. Then you'll have time to get a new motor and shoot the final vid.

You could take apart your motor and see what went bad in it, but I don't know what you'd do once you found out. :/

You know how I said a drill was out of the question? Well, I lied.

I took out the auto terrain trekker switch and made an auto drill switch in the brake run. My camera battery is charging so if you're lucky you'll get pics tonight. I also built my coaster for history just by taking out some pieces that are easily replacible, so as soon as I turn in my history coaster and get a grade I can replace the supports, redo the ending, and Build a station. Also, now that the constraint of the tt auto switch is gone, you may see a new prelift. Pics later tonight hopefully.

that looks great!
the only thing that bugs me though is the lift but oh well, the the rest of the coaster makes up for it

^Thanks? What's wrong with the lift?

What the hell?

Posted Image

Remember the first half of the double dip? Well, now it's taller than the second half. I see the long straight part, and given the space I have, the size of the pullin which is already mirrored to the pullout of the first drop, and how big the crest should be, I don't see a way around it.

I did this because it stopped making the yellow turnaround in the back room. I figured the shorter hill was killing some speed, so I compensated.

What do you guys think?

It does look very straight. It looks like it could continue to get steeper after it passes the edge of the ping pong table; that would help the straightness.

Are you trying to connect this back up to the track you built?

Yeah, I plan to. Luckily, the tubing restarted on the crest of the second hill. And I'll try what you said, sounds like it could work.

Alright, the crest is a little big, but it's no longer straight.

The crest looks good, but where the track begins to bank I think it could use some more heartlining and banking.

Yeah, that looks better. Looks smoother too.

There's a bump in the third pic from the bottom, right where the half moon with the black clips are.
