I have come up with a new tube support design. Here is what I have. As you can see, you can more the tube at different angles (for example picture 2, you can move it like that if you are doing a banked turn).Posted ImagePosted Image

The variable angle is a huge PROBLEM, actually. You need triangles within your support structures, otherwise the supports will shift and change angles slightly or even more than slightly. Trapezoids are a weak shape, again, use triangles.

Those would shift so much when a train comes through.

This really shows your problem with building. You aren't creative at all with your connections. These connections are incredibly simple (and very weak for the reasons already stated), and you started a thread just to show them?!

The best way to build with tubes, IMO, is to use vertical tubes whenever possible, because then you can make a strong base and you won't have the problem of tubes shifting. When needed you can add lateral tubes to the vertical tubes.

When making banked turns, I rarely ever use the middle connection on the crossties. Instead, I slide grey connectors onto each flexy and connect to them. Then by simply raising either connnection you can change the banking.

Take a look at the tall support. As you can see, at the top, the two tubes are connected with three 45* connectors. Combined with the two completely secured footers, the triangle this supports create cannot be deformed. Another thing is that the track is secured to this support in two places (there are two rods sticking through the 45* connectors), that way the track cannot pivot around one of the connections and is secured to the support properly. The last thing is that the whole support is inclined towards the loop. That way, the forces created by the train in the loop can hardly move the track outwards.

That's creativity with tube supports.

If you made the coaster can you make a closer screen shot or have another link since that might be helpful in my coaster.

Like this? Building with tube supports requires a lot of thinking about how to build the supports. It really slows down construction.

Haha!^ Those tubes are way better than mine! That really helps me out for when I build my first tube hyper that will be 1.5 feet tall.
