Yes, I think it will severely lack speed with this launch method.

Oh, for the love of God, put some pants on. Seriously, it would have taken 30 seconds.

You are going to need a lot more speed then that to finish this.

Isaid in the video it wasn't pulled back the whole way, and the video makes it look slow. I'll add another gumband if it's still too slow.

Well, I'm moving on... to the hill! I got some beastly tubes up, and even track. I tested the launch, and it's study as a rock. here is a pic.

I wanted to put up a POV pic, but I took theese pics from my laptop webcam, and my other camera dosen't download, and I realize there is no footer on the left diagonal support, I'll fix that. Comment!!! Be harsh! :D

Uhh... It need to be much much larger. What a lot of people don't realize is that on launched coasters the pullout/pull in are half of the structure. It is also very bumpy.

For the love of good, use boxes...

you are totally right Pyro.

You can do it with a small box support at the bottom what is some kind of a foundation and then you can put tupes on the top of it.
Then you can run a cain in that box support and do a drill launch.

with this speed you're never get the height you want! at least make a strong launch which works good, if you just use rubber bands make a strong base where you put them on! also this pull-in is waaay too small, make it bigger and look at some pictres with coasters with a top-hat. good luck. ;)

OK, I fixed the pullin and made some boxes, I also re-did the launch mechanism. After looking at the pullin for a while, I think it's still small. See what you think.

I also added another rubberband for those who wonder.

1. Remove the ladder connectors.
2. It's a bit bumpy.
3. If you were going with a re-cre with tubes, that looks nothing like it. All of your tubes are angled out at a 45* angle.
4. Your tubes are stressing and the connections look weak.

That's my nickel...

1. It's okay to use ladders (although it's better if you don't), but you should try to layer your flexi's so that the ladders don't end up next to each other. It'll help you avoid sharp spots.
2. Yes, there are a few bumps, but they're pretty small.
3. The tubes actually look pretty good so far, IMO. picture...But you could still strengthen up the connections, and clean up the tubes a little.

It's a pretty good start...

with how big the pull in is you will have to make the coaster about 3 1/2 ft tall... it still needs to be bigger.

^ I totally accept with you. Almost all your supports and tubes looks stressing, look at a good tutorial for tube supports. Also, don't use ladder connections, I think it creates a lot of bumps in your coaster! Good luck! ;)

I thought the pullin was a little small, and I'll clean up the tubes, Thanks 4 the comments!

Please don't waste your time with tubes. You arn't going to be able to make decent track connections anywhere and you will lose an ass load of speed on the tophat.

Also, on a few pages back:

Are you guys missing the point of this? It's going to be all tube supported re-cre, stealth dosen't have box supports for the launch, neither will I. Anyway, I can just do a rubber band launch.

If you are going to make the coaster as realistic as possible, why not use a realistic launch, like 'Jesper's Launch' or the spindle launch that Beethoven (spelling?) made.

And the launch is supposed to be inclined a little bit.

The pullin needs to be WAY bigger if your going for a 6 ft tophat. There are strait spots all in the pull in right now.

To get the best out of this coaster, I suggest you go with boxes.

*cry* You guys were right all along... This coster is too big for me.*cry*
But the story will not end there, This could be re-visited when I have the experience to complete this. That could be for years now. I am moving on to Smaller, easier things. But since it's the Holiday season, I'm leaving you with a Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Sorry to hear that you're canceling this coaster, for now anyway. I always think it's best to start with a simple looper. That way you can teach yourself the ropes and the more experienced builders can help build up your skills. If you're serious about building, you'll be making some great stuff in the very near future.

And don't get discouraged; I've canceled more coasters than finished :P
