I finally got around to making a tutorial for my Arrow Suspended Swinging Cars.
First, here's a video of them in action:

Tutorial:

Begin with a Screamin' Serpent Car.

Take it apart (except for the black wheel assembly. Leave that intact).
Once you're done, it should look like this:

NOTE: You will only need the pieces inside the red circle. However, you should save the unused pieces in case you want to return your cars to normal again.

Next, make this:

And attach it to the car like this:

Next, make this:

Now you need to attach the piece you just made to the black wheel assembly. It's best to use a hot glue gun, since the glue is stronger and easier to remove (but superglue will work too).
IMPORTANT: Make sure you use plenty of glue so that the car will not fall apart. Also, DO NOT get any glue in the center hole of the gray connector.

It should look like this:

Next you'll attach the ball-and-socket joint to the front of the car.
IMPORTANT: Once again, make sure you use plenty of glue so it won't fall apart. Also, DO NOT get any glue in the center hole of the orange connector.

It should look like this:

Lastly, attach the car to the orange connector hanging down. Make sure you don't break anything off in the process.

The finished product:

For the middle cars, do the same thing, but make sure you glue in the female ball-and-socket joint to the wheel assembly first.

For the front car, attach the pivot joint the same as you would a wheel assembly. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of this yet.

There you go! Enjoy your suspended swinging cars!

Great tut! This should be a sticky. I will use these if I ever make a suspended coaster.

Could you get some picture of a middle and front car?

I just really don't like the fact that you have to glue them. I think mine, although they take another car frame and are slightly heavier, are better since you don't have to glue. But it's just a personal preference I guess.

Sorry guys! I figured out something that needs to be changed. So DON'T make them yet! I'll edit the tutorial tomorrow to make it correct. I'll make sure to get pictures of the front and middle cars as well.

EDIT: This post is false. This is a complete tutorial (other than pictures of the front and middle cars).

It looks promising, but I wouldn't want to glue the cars either.

Hey, I know that this is a dead thread, but I have something to contribute. When I made Eagle Eye, my suspended coaster, I made the cars a little differently, and I think the way I connected the ball joint is more reliable and will last longer.
I drilled a hole in the white rods for the screw to go in.

Also, if you don't want to have the chains above the cars:

If only I had more space/pieces/time.
