Correct me if I'm wrong. So, you pick which thing you want to do and your journal is like your thread or blog?

The journal can be integrated with your contest entries or just something separate you keep. I would like to see you keep progress in your journals. It doesn't need to be a big update like in the threads and doesn't require photos.

So, if you want to enter one of the contests, you have to be either currently building a coaster or have a coaster that was completed after the date posted in the announcement??

Of course you can also just start a coaster now, dedicated to the contest.

Now I leave for college on September 2, that leaves me two months to build my re-cre, how would I submit my ride if I'm going to be a month before the deadline?

Just have it in the database. There will be a thread for it anyways.But you won't have internet at college?

And you do not have to have a journal, but we encourage it.

So wait, are the Official Approval Thread recreations going into MOTY or is the thread entering MOTY. I'm a little confused since i want to enter MOTY but i don't know how. Is MOTY going on? If not, when will it start?

The approval thread is where you enter. There is no MOTY contest anymore.
