I was buliding a lift for a coaster, I though about using duct tape, and no tubing to save some tubing Im not sure if it would work or not, But its just a idea.

It is really hard to get the residue off the pieces once you take the tape off. I wouldn't do it. Unless you want your pieces to be sticky.

I shouldn't do it because of what he^ said, and it makes a lot friction and sounds really annoying.

You don't even really need tubing for the car part. Gump's Gumpinator ran on the chain without tubing for his test videos. And do you mean tape the middle part? I think you could do that so it wouldn't snag.

I don't see why not just solong as the tape inst the gooy and gets stuck on to badly.
