This is going to be a recreation of Xcelerator. This recreation will be finished. I need to make the launch go faster and accelerate a 4 car train with minimal weights on it. The test vid has a train of 3 on it with weighs so what kind of launch should i use?

I would really love to see a custom model from you. You have tried many recreations but I haven't seen you finish one. I'm not saying you can't finish one, it's just, I want to see your creativity and your mind put to the test. With the potential you have, and the skill you already have, I would love to see what you can come up with on your own.

Well, I've been working on Xcelerator for the past 6 hours and i have the top hat done. It shakes quite a bit but i will add some track strengtheners after i post this. I couldn't get test video because every time i tried to, the cable would snap or the launch would malfunction and have a roll back or a faulty launch.

Is this the look i should be going for?

The look, yes. The supports, no. Eventhough it makes it less of a realistic re-cre. Support the crap out of that.

Max, for once I actually disagree with you. I think it would be cooler if he used realistic supports but it shook a little.
I think if you put weights on the base of the supports to keep them from shaking, and add some strong track strengtheners, it won't shake nearly as much.

yeah and work on those tubes, they look pretty weak you support to support connections are lacking the most.

Add more snowflakes, layer the rods, and add a few more lateral tubes for strength.

Ok, well i redid the top hat because people said it was too wide. It turned out that it looks a little weird but i don't know what to do. Could someone please compare a picture of the real ride to mine.

Here is a good reference pic for the top hat. Right now it looks to me that the crest is too circular, and the twists should be higher up and less sudden.

I agree with steel... It would look better without the supports on the top. And besides, if you stand under it in real life, it does shake quite a lot. :P

Well, i fixed the top hat but i think the twist might be fine. We'll see what other people think. Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think there's too much lateral heartlining on the twists. What you have is the right amount of heartlining for the SS train, but compared to the real ride there should be a lot less. Once you change that it should look more like this:

That would also mean the top hat should be skinnier.

I think i have the heartlining fixed, but what about the tophat? When you say make it skinnier, i dont know what you mean. Could you please show me what the tophat should look like.

You're forcing the heartlining. I can draw a picture if you like.
