YouTube - Project Winter 2010/11 update 4
Right now I'm trying to find some weights to keep it from swaying, then I'll work on the track before the main lift.

Probably the first thing you noticed was that I re-did the lift hill. Why? Mostly so that it's easier to connect the elevator lift/switch-track with the lift. The beginning of the lift hill is lower and closer to the base of the mountain. Changing the lift also allowed me to put the motor at the top, which is more efficient and looks better too.
I've also continued the track-work. After the 540* helix comes this straight section through the mountain, then an overbank. NOTE: I realize that some of the track inside the mountain is not shaped very well...I don't care, because you won't be able to see it anyway.
And some more track after the switch-track. It's a tight squeeze between the elevator lift and the inside of the mountain!
The switch-track now has an automatic motor. There is no "on" switch yet..I have something planned for that.
I thought this was a pretty clever idea :
Twisty!!
The End. :rfro
EDIT: Another thing I just realized...this was post #5000!!! WOOT

Any one of those things by themselves would make an epic coaster. But this one has them all!
The cars are really awesome to.
Your auto switch mech is so clean and simple... Does the automatic switch track work right now just by hitting the switch? How do you keep the train from coming off before the tracks line up?

1 question: What kind of motor is that that you are using? Is it like TrippleHelix's custom motor?
Great work again, love the automation...

Thats no excuse for bad trackwork!
Anyways, awesome coaster so far just keep building.

This thing is just epic as ^ put it. I am really excited to see how you automate all of these moving parts. It will be a challenge, but if anyone can do it, you can. You my friend are on top of SSC.

From inside the mountain:
That is the Lego NXT brick in the center of the turn. It has a removable cover so I can hide it under snow but still be able to access it.
Also, a few more turns after the big helix are now in place.
Only a few more feet left!
And the near-complete brake run/station:
It has more speed through the final turns than I was expecting it to have. Oh well...it'll show more of a braking-effect on the brake run.
The entrance to the mountain, the very first part of the ride:
And some Christmas-colored stairs.
To-do list:
1. Finish the track-work
2. Automate the elevator lift, conventional lift, and station
3. THEMEING!! w00t
