^Same here

That arm looks gorgeous, and the ride overall will be amazing if you can pull it off, but TheSUCKCrew as well as I have attempted this thing and it is tough. Hope you can do this with the NXT and knex parts.

^I think he shouldn't use NXT. It looks to easy for NXT…

Yeah, I was thinking of trying it RWT's way, but I just thought it'd be nearly impossible.

That looks exactly like the real ride! Move on!

Thanks!

I'm waiting for parts to arrive. When they get here expect an update.

DP...

Parts are here, so I've finished the arm. Here are the pictures:

The entire arm weighs 2.6 pounds, so it's heavy (about 1.18 kilograms)

That looks really awesome Sniggen, like really awesome. When I made the arm for the ride, it was definitely very heavy, but yours seems to be much heavier. I would make the two towers with automation out of boxes so that you have max stability and strength to hold up that arm. I can't wait to see another update of this thing.

Looks good sniggeh.
One thing I must say is that the arm isn't the hard part at all.
Making something that has the strenght to lift it entirely is pretty hard, I wish you good luck;)

^Yeah, I can see that being a big problem later down the road.

Looks really good so far Sniggeh! Can't wait to see more of this, and later coaster/rides in the future!!!! =)

it is really nice made now, too bad that it weights much.

I just love it! Like I said before:

If you need help then I can draw you an automation plan for it.

Screw boxes, mega tubes ftw.

I'm going to try a secret idea (very simple, actually) to lift it. If that doesn't work I'll ask for help.

I think I can automate it properly, but thanks!

Thanks!

I have one of the two towers that will hold the arm. They will have tubing in the middle to guide the wheels on the arm.

The structure looks very realistic when compared to the actual Sky Swatter ride I must say.

Otherwise, the side supports don't look very strong at all, and won't do much help to support the ride. To improve this, use Jogumpie's super strong tubes to act as diagonals for the ride so that it can increase the strong-ness of the tower, and not bend inward from the weight of the arm. Also, have a good base for the ride too. As for the raising of the arm, I don't know what you have in plan for raising and turning the weight of that arm, but whatever you do, make it work. You have gotten further than I have on this ride, and I was stumped on ho to make it work. Good work man!

Yes. Having those rods as laterals is weak. Make them tubes. Those mega tubes look nice though.

The main tower looks weak, although your probrably going to put tubes on the outside. I'd modify the tower. To lift it, I'd go with string, or put a motor on the thing like in real life, and find a way to lift it.

Tada. You guessed right. I'm using string with several pulleys to lift the arm.

I am finishing the side supports and have the final height of the ride complete. This is only a verbal update b/c I am grounded. Pictures will be poster tomorrow.
