Good news: Scrap Attack! has moved to it's new home in Lafayette. Yaay.
Bad news: Boy, does it need some work. I think I may have shed a couple tears while the track was being removed, too.
More Good news: I've been needing to change some things anyway.
Construction, however, will remain on hold at least until Summer Heat is over.
This coaster is not cancelled!
It's just going to take a very long time...

Hello, Old Friend.
As promised, Scrap Attack! is coming back better than ever.
Let me walk you through some of the changes that have been made.
First of all, I'm using a much stronger base. This is the most solid base I've ever used on any coaster. This thing ain't moving anywhere.
Connecting micro tubes to a standard base is made possible by these magnificant pieces. These things are awesome. I wish I had more.
For other parts of the layout, for example, the giant turn, I'm using the same micro base as before. However, as you can see, I'm trying to be a bit more conservative with pieces.
The structure of the turn may only have less than half the pieces as before. But believe me, it's still pretty solid.
After doing some research. I've noticed that not all of Intamin's supports are the same size. So I've begun to implement 8 and 3 rod tubes.
I've also begun to add a spine to some of the track. I've been able to get plenty of practice from my previous project so I'm pretty satisfied with how this is turning out so far. I'm also staggering the spacers to avoid sharp spots and such.
Here's the launch I'm hoping to use. It works just like the JesperLaunch. It's not completely finished yet, but I've got it to work a couple times and launched some cars across the room.
I was able to connect 3 sections of track together with some half-moons to make a straight and smooth platform for the chain. And careful placement of the gears help keep the chain from flying apart.
The rubber bands connect to a purple rod and wrap around the big wheel.
I still need to come up with some sort of 'rachet' device to keep the launch from launching until it's time to launch the launch.
Alright. Now for the good stuff...
Lady and Gentlemen, the Norwegian Loop.
And an overview of what I have so far...
(sorry about the mess)
Scrap Attack! is back, Jack!

Looks very well. It could use a tad more heartlining, but I understand that you can't pull that off with the micro track.
Looking forward to more:D
