I was in my attic today and found my k'nex and I'm a broke college kid so I figured why not sell them. I have 2 SS sets and 1 RR set. There is also peices from some random K'Nex kit I bought at a store once. I would like to sell all of them together so I don't have to separate all of them and shit.

It comes out to about 3,600+ pieces. Includes 2 motors, 2 car sets, 2 RR launchers (ones cut so you can use the SS cart with it), tubing, chain links, and even wheels from the other set.


If anyone wants to buy this, please let me know and I'll put it on eBay. I'll price it at $230. If no one buys then I'll just separate them and sell the sets individually on eBay.

That is pretty overpriced dude... Almost 80$/set? You can buy them for 30$ a set on ebay if you buy smart...

Yeah someone would pay like 90-100 dollars max for that.

I agree. I think you'll have to find a very dedicated member, or one who is in need of a lot of parts.

However, I do hope you end up splitting them. If you do, I am very interested in the 2 cars, red and purple track, crossties, and possibly more if we can maybe work out a deal. I think the track, cars, and crossties are worth close to about $40-45. Seems reasonably fair to me. PM if you'd be interested / want to work out something. I have a max of $75, and I'm interested in more from this, just not all of it.

I know you said you don't want to, but it might end up getting you more than what you expect if you sell them individually.

Unfortunately most SS go for at least $50 (with shipping) now. They're really high in demand.

Mike, it might be better off to split them into individual sets. Complete Screamin Serpents on eBay start around $70 (without shipping). I've also seen whole collections about this size go less for less than that. Marketing K'nex as a complete set makes it sound much more valuable than say "25 pound tub of K'nex".

To be honest Mike, I'm not sure it'll be worth selling these off. I'm a college student too, I know the feeling of being tight on money. Personally, I'm not a fan of seeing old members selling off their pieces, because these things are memories to us. One day that random urge to build something might come, and you may regret selling them.
