Hey guys, I'm back from the grave!

So, as summer fast approaches, I've been working on something...:D
NOTES:

1: The last picture has more track to support connections, and the possible gear location.

2: Quick question, should I extend the top of the drop?

PICTURES, YAY!

Looks good! Banking and shaping look pretty spot-on. I think where you have the gear is a good location for it, but you should start the crest immediately before it. Glad to see you're building again!

Nothing to complain about, looks really good! What kind of coaster will this be, or do we have to wait to know that?

I'm not done building yet.

pretty cool , different , but I like it now what type of coaster are you looking of like Witting said. Also a six car train would look awesome.

@Witting: I'm actually undecided about that. I'm leaning towards a hyper, but a looper would be fine too.

@crazyracer: Thanks! And six cars is what I'm planning, unless it turns out to be too heavy.

Expect an update this weekend guys.

Tell me what sort of coaster you want, too!

I have a Geometry exam on Wednesday, and Science on Thursday. I have some crazy math teacher who speaks extremely broken English, and gives us a ton of work, so she'll cut back after the exam. Expect updates on about a weekly basis, till summer.

DP, but here goes. Which do you guys like better? They're just rough sketches, and can be tweaked as needed, but which drop do you guys prefer?

Option A

Option B

I'm liking option B at the moment. I think the flow of the heart lining looks awesome.
I am confident you can pull this style drop off with smooth shaping.

Alright, with Jumpge's affirmation, I think I'll do option B, unless anyone can give me a strong counterpoint for option A before Friday. I'll work on the lift spine until then.

I also agree with jumpge about option b. It looks a lot better and easier to shape and actually get a good shape
because of where the heart lining is like he said.

i also think option B would be the best but don't have the end of the drop on a 90° angle of the lift to mook it look more twisty.
i would try tyo make a own style looper .

Sorry guys, just a verbal update.

Anyways, the crest and drop are done. The lift is about halfway done, and the secret element is coming along nicely. Oops, I mentioned it!

Pictures next time, I promise! :D

Update 2:
Hey, guys! As promised, I have pictures! Anyways, the crest is complete, as is the drop.

Note 1: The rough scaffolding you see at the end of the ride is a sketch of the high speed air hill that goes before an over-bank that veers left, away from the lift, and goes back toward the base of the lift

Note 2: Hmm, I wonder why I made the lift segment so short? Could this have something to do with the secret element? ;)

Note 3: I need names. I'm thinking it will be a terrain coaster, maybe with a medival theme, and the name could be dragon-ish, like Xlynthian (pronounced: ex-lin-thee-an)
But I am also open to suggestions for names, themes, etc.

Could there possibly be a launch? I think the bottom of the drop(the turn) could use some more banking. That will make it look so much better. Keep it up!

That looks really cool! My only concern is that a hill that height is bound to lose speed really quickly. I like the idea of the high-speed element, but I think you should go a little higher if anything.
As for name ideas, I'm not too good at those.

Sorry guys, no update this weekend, I had a project all week and I had a Busch Gardens field trip on Saturday. Gotta get going on a four page math packet due tomorrow, so I promise a picture update by, if not before, next weekend!

P.S.: Does anybody know why the prediction of the orbit of mercury is more accurate with hyperbolic geometry instead of euclidean geometry?

Sorry for breaking my promise guys. :( School took a turn for the worse, as I bombed two big tests in a row, and I got into huge trouble with my parents. Anyways, after a Busch Gardens trip yesterday, building will resume as scheduled starting today.
