I'd like to give some more information on the timeline of MMM 2014. During the first round, eight new polls are posted each day, all running for five days. The first round runs from March 18th until March 30th. Once enough polls are over, on March 28th, the second round commences and posts another eight new polls each day. It runs from March 28th until April 5th. Just before the second round ends, the third round starts, posting eight new polls on April 5th and April 6th, again running for five days. Then on April 12th the final polls for each time category are posted, running until April 17th.

Now that eight finalists remain, the final round starts. However, it is a little different from the other rounds. Instead of being eliminated after losing a poll, one is allowed to battle every other finalist. The one who wins the most polls - with seven being the maximum - wins the tournament. The polls in this round are posted in groups of seven each day, all running for five days. This round runs from April 18th until April 26th.

In case a tie ensues, the final round poll(s) with the tied finalists are checked. If a winner cannot be decided based on these final round polls, one last poll with all tied finalists will be held from April 27th until May 2nd.
