Yup, I'm recreating Colossos. Like I side above, I will try to complete this by August 30th for the Summer Heat hyper coaster contest. This ride will be built in sections and assembled in my back yard. You can see in these following pictures that I have begun the drop. The real drop is 61 degrees, mine is a little bit steeper at 66 degrees. Do you guys think it is alright now, or should I make it a little less steep.

I'd say it looks just a little steep. But if it is too much trouble, you can keep it.

yes it does look a tad steep. Maybe just a little black connector may fix it?

If it is a little steep it would be worth changing as it could come back to bite you in the backside later in the build if you don't! Anyway this is SO FEAKIN' AWESOME!!!!!

I Think the drop is a tad too steep, and the crest should be a bit bigger, but you have got the Pre-fab design perfect.

Looks great, besides the things that others have pointed out. Good luck getting the train through the post-helix section. The helix is gonna be a killer.

At least the helix is downhill...


Since the last update I finished the drop. It is currently at around 63 degrees. This is the closest it's going to get without some major support changes. Some of my track connectors are a little bit bent, this is making some minor bumps in the track. I will try to bend them back with a heat gun later in this build. Other than that I got a better view of the crest of the lift. Do you guys still think it is too sharp?







Edit: As you can see in the second picture, I am having issues with the radii supports. The top of the drop is both leaning outward and twisting. I don't really have a good way of fixing it, so I'm just going to ignore the problem and hope it goes away.

You really nailed the shaping on the drop. It looks stunning.
