Greetings everyone on SSC I am in need of some help finding out what set these connectors are from.  Last week I was sorting my pieces out and I counted about close to 200 of these.  till this day in 2019 I still can't find any source of information on these rare parts.  Any help and info is welcomed.  I even emailed k'nex and they replied that they do not know what set their from cause rippin rocket had neon yellow which are common,Shark Run which had black also common and original SS green. but no info from the company about these parts.

Did you buy it in a bulk lot where somebody painted them? Perhaps it could be from a ball machine?

Actually, blue X-ties are 100% real and not painted. Over the years of being on here, I learned that they came from a value tub... and from what I can remember, getting them was pure chance. I got a value tub many years ago, but it only had yellow x-ties... honestly my least favorite color

>.< I've only known a few members to ever possess these rare pieces. Years ago, there was a coaster on here with a lot of these pieces.

Hedgehog. By Ickus305. I'll be back with more later.

Edit: Back. http://www.sscoaster...15/?hl=hedgehog

A little bit of searching, and here's what Ickus said:

"They come from a blue 425 piece tub. (I think it is 34119, I'll look it up tomorrow when I have the instructions in my hand and let you know. 50 BLue ties come in, and also a decent amount of yellow 3D's come in it.)"

Edit 2: Yeah, that's all I could find. The only auction I could find anywhere was just 1, on Ebay, and it's out of stock now. K'nex User Group had no mention of the piece on their site at all. There is virtually no trace of these ever existing except from the photos and videos taken over the years. Plus they are rarely talked about. It's actually quite interesting.
