mechanics, and they have trouble keeping their rockets open. SFGADV has horrible
mechanics, they can't even keep all the rides they have now open. This ride will
have a ton of downtime, probably as much as TTD, the one difference is I don't
think this coaster will be down for more than 1-2 weeks unlike TTD.

I also think that with 3 years of die-hard studying and testing you could work
the bugs out of the hydraulic launch. Also, wasn't there a rumor floating around
that the 2480 foot thing could be for another kiddie coaster? I read that somewhere. .
. oh well.

Looks like this will be a
record breaking rip off of ttd. Kind of funny, i mean, they put a picture of ttd in the
background .
And ofcoarse this coaster will have down, every coaster has downtime its first year,
and the bigger ti is, usually the more downtime it has.

*heaven*
And for those who are bashing on my home park-
If you haven't been to the park this year, then shut your trap. We got a
new GM and he has done a great job planting flowers, cleaning up the park, and it
looks beautiful. Yes, it's not the cleanest park, and yes, it's probebly going
to be a clone, but still. You CP fans are jelous obviously because we get something
that puts your coaster in the grond. Obviously, Six Flags is trying to get out of debt
and put themselves on the map. Yes, it will have downtime. But so have all the other
rocket coasters! I don't hear you bashing on Hersheypark for buildings
one or Knott's. But then when Six Flags comes around, you guys start saying
how dirty our park and how unwell the maintence is. NEWS FLASH-we aren't
CP. And we never will be. I don't care. Now I can't turn around and
start bashing on CP because I've never been there, but for those who have
never been to SFGAdv and are bashing the park, how about you come down to the
park and have a look at a true american theme park.

stock in it. But I don't hate SF, I just think that some of their park (SFEG)
aren't run very well. GADV sounds like an awesome park, can't wait to
get there. Especially with this new coaster, but I do feel for CP, they try so hard to
have the tallest all the time, now it's SF's turn. They really need it to,
seeing as how their doing as a company.

my hometown park and we are about the same distance away from it. After going to
parks like CP, IOA, Dorney, then going to gadv you really can see a big difference
between the parks. I like SF for the sole reason of there great coaster collection, but
it pisses me off when i go to the park and there rides are either not open, or are
running such low capacity that a normel 20 minute wait at like CP turns into an hour
wait at gadv. I know for a fact with this coaster ti will be the same. This ride will
have unbarable waits and extensive downtime, just as much as ttd or more. This will
create serious problems with the GP, because its pretty odvious SF is going to
advertise this coaster to death, and not have it open when the people come. CP did an
awesome job making people aware that ttd might not be open when they come, so
there not 100% pissed when they go, i doubt sf will do the same. I feel this coaster
will not only be in bad shape itself, but will create problems for rides like chiller, which
because they are so worried about this ride the maitnrnce team might give up on
chiller and have it closed for another season. Gadv has alot of work to do before it
regains my full respect. Trust me, if you have been to CP, youd be thinking the same
as me.
Besides, look at the Golden Ticket awards, Nitros rated higher
than ttd, so chances are this coaster isnt going to be "the best coaster in the
world", just another
record breaker until another park comes along and
beats it.

a staff problem, but they dont have a maintence problem. How many guys do you see
working on TTD when it breaks down? Three. How often in the day are
GADV's maintence people seen at the park? Not often. So while a normal day
is going and this ride breaks down, maintence will be ready on hand. And because of
the other rocket coasters out there, Six Flags has probebly been watching the other
parks on how often it breaks down and what the problems are. Every ride has
problems. It's just a thing man-kind will never figure out. I think the statement
that GADV will have more downtime is false because Intamin has been working on
ways to improve on the rocket coaster. Will this coaster have downtime. Yes. Will it
break down? Yes. Will the lines be long? You bet. But thats not stopping them from
building this ride. It's just company wars. There will always be the fight for the
tallest, and fastest ride out there. Don't get jelous. CP will probebly come back
with something better then our ride. Thats just how happens and how CP does
business.

just be mad if the lines are longer then they have to because of poor capacity. This
coaster should have 6 trains like ttd, and run atleast 5 every day, while being very
quick with checking restraints and such.
Has intamin been working on
there launch problems? Ofcoarse but that still doesnt help any. Im not just bashing
gadv maintnence when i say it will have down timw, its just common sense. a coaster
thats shorte yet taller and faster than ttd, thats asking for problems. While hydraulic
launch technology is a few years old, the fact that this is going to be a faster launch
than ttd still shows that this is still pretty much a new thing, that will have problems.
Im not blaiming SFgadv if they have these problems, its the way they handle it that im
not sure of...

Cedar Point is not competing against SFGAdv! The two
parent companies may be competing in the big picture but this one coaster is no threat
to Cedar Point. It might be a threat to Cedar Fair parks nearby, but Cedar Point will
not be affected by this coaster. Building the tallest and fastest coaster is a marketing
scheme, no a "company war." They are competing for profit, not record
titles! Geez, and I thought you knew something about roller coasters!
And what do you mean by "our ride"? You don't own it.

gonna get ripped off from this!Hydra will kick this rockets butt! I went to
GADV the first day it opened. THey do have horrible staff, i think this rocket is going
to have problems with restraints-launching them quickly will have the staff becoming
unaware and may cause a flyout of passengers! i know its not likely, but it
scares me how lazy medusas staff was, imagine that on the ROCKET!

What
coaster's going to have the extreme rush of downtime combined with the insane
twist of unoriginality!?

disrespecting my home park. And yes, I do know a thing or to about cosaters,
business is another story. I'm not arguing or yelling at anyone, but you say all
these bad things that arent true. For the millionth time, SIX FLAGS IS NOT CP.
IT'S GOING TO HAVE DOWNTIME, PROBEBLY A LOT, YES STAFF
MAY MAKE THINGS A LITTLE SLOWER. But who cares, thats what makes Six
Flags different. I don't have a problem with anything they do. Now, stop saying
"that park is disquesting and it will have downtime." This is a topic about
how TTD MIGHT, I repeat MIGHT, and I'll say it again, MIGHT lose it's
records.

I care very much, because
although im critizing SF i still want to ride the thing. I dotn want to go to the park 10
times next season and only ride this thing once or twice because it was only open for 2
visits.
And about six flags not being cp, that true, but sf really doesnt have
an excuse not to be as good a cf parks. This park being owned by SF isnt a
reasonable excuse for this ride having more downtime than it should and having lower
capacity than it should.
This coaster will be a reacord breakor, unless they
lied on the invitation, which is unlikely.
Im disrespecting my hometown parkThe
only problem I have right now is how you guys are disrespecting my home
park.
because they havent given me a reason to respect ti yet.
