While ToZ is still being built, another tribute to the journey to Greece is planned.
Olympus will be a rocket coaster that reaches the 20 feet mark. The rest of the lay-out will contain a lot of camelbacks. Of course this will be powered by rubberbands. Because of this the train won't be longer than 4 cars. I'll do everything to get it amazingly sturdy. The coaster won't be freestanding while building it. After construction I'll remove the ropes holding it. That means it'll be freestanding, and thus the tallest freestanding coaster (am I right at that point? I'm not sure).
Olympus is the tall mountain in Greece that reaches the clouds and where the gods live on top of it.

Just a small update:
Because I'll have much more knex when I'll start this, the train will be 5 cars long, the supports will contain more 3D-connectors and the lay-out will be longer (extra: 200 crossties, 100 flexi-rods and 112ft of tubing).
Am I right about being it the tallest freestanding coaster when reaching the 20 feet mark?

I am not sure but I thought that 22 foot coaster that no one saw a picture of or something was freestanding.

I did see at rubberband Superman style freefall coaster, that was 22 feet and free standing. He did if for school and built it in the gym. But it wasn't really documented, so I'll give props to you if you can do this one. No more planned forty footers that end up being 12 again I hope...

Plans have changed a bit. I discussed with some classmates and they told me to go for the 25 feet. Okay, 25 feet it'll be then.
Expect construction to start right after demolishing of ToZ.

As you know I was given a lot of knex by an American eBay knexstore. I bought some extra red rods and 2 extra 12V motors. All together it's 18 lbs of knex.
On the Dutch eBay website I found another pile of knex. In the last minute I placed my bid and I won that pile. It's more than 22 lbs.
So in total I'll have more than 40 lbs of extra knex for Olympus. I'll need a lot of pieces for the freestanding structure. I'll have a lot of pieces, so expect something special.

Okay, another update :P
I'll build pieces of the big spike in pieces of approx. 7 feet each. I'll assemble them outside, so the whole 25 feet structure will be lying down on the ground. Structure will be very sturdy, because I'm going to pull it from horizontal to vertical with ropes, standing on the 2nd floor of the house.
May 28th I'll be showing ToZ to QAFS and SebAsSs, after that I'll start deconstruction of ToZ. Once that has been done, construction on Olympus will start.

After the 25 feet tophat will be a huge camelback, which will hit the 9 feet.
The camelback will end with an overbanked turn, because the camelback would be too long for our garden :P

I was thinking of a CO2 launch, but I think it'll be too fast for a 25 feet coaster. I guess I'll use a rubberbands launchrun of 16 feet then.

Okay, I'll inform you about what I'm doing.
At the moment I'm working on the Official Knexprojects CD that will be released after Olympus being completed.
I'm demolishing ToZ as well.
After this I'll make tutorials that will be on the CD. And then, when I finally received my new pieces, I'll start working on this gigantic coaster.
