So yesterday I went to Cedar Point with one of my friends Ross (as well as 6 other kids from my church and my mom and another chaperon but we weren't with them the whole time) . We got to the park a little after 6:00 and we got in and went straight to Maverick. I was really pumped for tonight because I went at this time last year and there's generally very short lines, and I was right for Maverick. A short half hour wait and Ross and I are riding Maverick front row. It's still as great as ever and still the best coaster in the park and my number one coaster. For those who don't agree with me, what the hell is wrong with you:confused:

Next We rode Millennium Force. It was also a half hour wait but we waited for the front again so it was more like 45 minutes. I was really excited though because this would be my first night ride of Millennium. And it was sweet. The coaster is a totally different experience at night, especially at Halloweekends. Why? because on the island that the two overbanks are there is a haunted house. And there is a ton of smoke and fog and multiply colored lights and it increases the sensation of going so much faster then you actually are.

Now here's where this gets a little bit more interesting. So after Maverick my mom and the other chaperon had gotten dinner while we rode Millennium and while we rode Millennium they had finished eating and gotten in line for Top Thrill Dragster so the rest of us got in line and we'd meet after Dragster. But Ross didn't want to ride it. So after a little bit of forcing him into the line we waited, again half an hour but another 15 minutes for the front. So by the time we're half-way through the line for the front, Ross finally gives in and wants to ride. So we roll out and we're the second train to get launched so we see the first train go, it clears we roll up. Now by this time we were the last two in our group to ride Dragster so the rest of our group was watching us. The train rolls back a little and Ross is pretty freaked out. The lights go and we go, and in the 50 degree weather we were in that was one cold launch, but a sweet one. We reach the crest and get that beautiful view of the park and plummet straight back down. It's still a great ride even though it's so short.

Then we had diner at what is ussually the coaster drive in but was some alien themed place for halloweekends. Got a cheeseburger and fries and it was a very good and filling meal
Diner 10/10

Then we decided to do a haunted house. We did the cornstockers which is in Thunder Canyon but obviously they drain the water. It wasn't scary to me at all but it was fun to walk through and say hi to the people when you saw them and to see other people freak out.
CornStockers 7/10

By this time it was just past 11:00 so we figured we had time for a few more rides. So we saw Skyhawk had absolutely now line and hit that really quick. It is a really great ride and is actually pretty sweet when you're on the blue side and you can look down at the people on the midway.
Skyhawk: 9/10

So because that was so short we went over to Maverick to check out the line and it was to long for us to get that done and do one other ride. So we went to Magnum. Last car last row. This was actually the best ride I've ever had on Magnum. There is so much ejector airtime on those bunny hill coming back it's insane. Though they are a little bit rough.
Magnum 9/10

Lastly we went for Millennium Force one last time. And to our luck, it was the very last ride of the day. Though we had to sacrifice the front for the third row, you can't beat getting a last ride. everybody had there hands up and we rode off into the night on one great ride.(actually it was about 12:30 this morning:))
Millennium Force last ride 10.9/10

So here's the ride count
Maverickx1
Millennium Forcex2
Top Thrill Dragsterx1
Magnumx1
Skyhawkx1
CornStockersx1

I know it doesn't sound like a lot but I thought it was a really good trip.

Overall trip 10/10

I'll have the pics up later today.

I never thought about the fog from Terror Island before. That would make the ride so much better. Two years ago, I got two or three night rides and it was sexy because of all the fog from Fright Zone. It's like plummeting into the gray abyss, only to blast out of the first tunnel into the night. I guess that blast will be short lived with Terror Island. I can't wait until next weekend so I can see what that's like.

Other than that, great report.
