I don't like the idea of entering more than one track, to me it should just be one entry per person to keep it even. Anyone else think so?

Also, could we get the download to the tracks when voting, so we can see supports and other things a pov can't show?

Maxlaam, most Intamin turns actually don't have the extra lateral support like you do in the second picture... if that saves you some trouble. Your supports look a lot like mine, though... probably because we're using the same reference pictures! Haha, no worries, I'm not surprised that others are trying to make theirs realistic, too.

But he's definitely right about the supporting; it looks really good when it's all custom supports, especially because Intamin goes crazy with theirs.

Oh yeah... and my coaster ends up being a graphics killer; I rarely get over 20fps on my home computer, usually around 7 or so. Will that be a problem?

It's about half-and-half, though. Anywhere where the track is very close to the ground, like in your third picture.

Windows Live Local Link

Like I said, though, just trying to save you some effort if you aren't 100% done.

Well realism is a huge part of the competition. But layout design is an even bigger part...so if your supports are amazing but your coaster is poop, then you won't do well.

But I'm sure your coasters are all spectacular as well ;D

^^ Thanks, but it's still 3 meters of the ground, and the pic I gave from Goliath is maybe 2, 2.5 meters? And I don't really mind the time I spend on it, I found a way to make those really fast with just a few clicks. Once you get in the "Rhythm" it's pretty easy ;)

I was actually doing my supports a bit wrong; I was putting in an unnecessary support node for diagonals instead of just connecting them to the node the track is connected to. In some places I'm actually out of space, so I can't put them where you probably have them.

Posted Image

I'm a little bit more than halfway done supporting.

Posted Image

Oh, and I found out how to make custom car textures. It's really easy; you just open up the texture you need that comes with NL (probably in your program files) and you photoshop it.

I was just experimenting with no limits trying to make a new ending for my layout. I built the element in a different file so I could import it into the real track, but that track was deleted and instead saved as an element. Then it caused some error thing when it tried to open and opened a blank track with the same name as the blitz I was working on. So when I went to ride the element I rebuilt in the blank track, it saved over the contest track..

Basically, anyway to undo a saved change?

^No sorry, saved is saved, don't forget to back-up files that are important for you in general.

I usually save my tracks under different names: Bcoaster_1 Bcoaster_2 etc.
And I usually mark them with prefixes like NF(Not Finished) or V (Version) S(Supports) FL(Flanged)
Terra(Terrain)

Also, Gump told me to rotate the footers in the correct direction, when I finish the supports I will do that too ;)
Edit, can I raise the Dutch flag on top of the lift? :D Using wooden supports. No scenery though!

Edit2: I hate DP'ing so another edit.

I finished the Launch supports! I might continue on later today, but first I'm gonna hang out with Minimoggi

Yeah, the normal roof wouldn't work and no roof would be sort of weird. It's even a nightmare without the trees and it'd still probably be without the station roof... so I have a POV of it which I took on my laptop for those without insane graphics.

WOW TH, you're looks realy good. I might drop out of this, can't get the ride to feel right it's either too fast, with too many G's, or too sluggish :( I suck with intamin anyway (I vote B&M mega looper ;))

EDIT: OK ICBA continueing with this, my layout would be too much a B**** to support anyway

No, a Dutch Flag's pattern is horizontal,

And a French Flag has the pattern vertically.
