This is my second coaster on SSC, my 4th custom coaster, my 3rd custom VV, and my first tube supported coaster. I'm also pretty sure this is going to be the first fully micro tube supported coaster ever posted.

I've finished the lift and 1st drop.

I believe you are right about the fact that it's the first Tube supported VV, but I think that's for a reason. Reason being is that VV track by itself it extremely weak and prone to shaking, causing loss of speed.

Someone on KMC just started a Tube soppirt VV to. The only thing I can suggest it layering your tube supports.

Two people have. This is the third announced.
If Ansion is finished first, it gets the first tube supported VV. If Turbine is next, then it gets first fully supported VV tuber. When this is next, it will be the first full-circuit fully supported tube VV...

^I agree tubes on VV are really hard. But like I said before, you should make the crest less sharp near the drop.

EDIT: Although, if you built the lift a little higher and put a pre-drop, this would look like a nice B&M 1st gen.

cool only there are only 3 supports make a few more like 1 every 6 or so inches.

good luck

It also looks better when the laterals are all coming off in the same direction.

Mini update w/o pics -

I have built to the first camel back hill, but I am low on orange rods, so I ordered some more pieces off knex.com. I'll try my best to get pics up tomorrow morning and maybe a test vid.

Thanks for the comments. Keep them coming!

Never order off Knex.com, order off eBay instead and save yourself a whole lot of money.

Wow! I thought it would shake way more than it did! Looks like the supports are checking out a-ok. Just wait until you have to use them for a turn though...:tmbs

I looked on eBay, I didn't seee any lots of micro pieces - only way to get micro off eBay is to buy a VV set, which doesn't come with any orange rods. Plus I ordered specific pieces I need, which you can't do on eBay. But I know knex.com is overpriced and eBay gives you better deals.

The first picture you posted makes the drop look bumpy. Try and smoothen it out. You should also layer your tube supports! It will make then a lot stronger.

I think it's fine. There's really no such thing as too large of a turn.
