3/6/12 here and I just registered. I'm as newb as one can be. Heck, gotta start somewhere. I have a kit on order and hopefully will receive it within 3 to 4 days. Yes, I know I spent more money then I should of but a good start on basics has always worked for me.
For those interested my college training is as a BSEE. Latest work experience has been with computer networking since 1994 with a heavy lean toward Cisco but HP Procurve has been gaining ground when I was still working. I will gladly answer any questions on these products that I can. If I don't know the answer I will look for a friend to help but I will not fib and tell you that I know something I do not know. Maybe someday I will be able to answer something more relevant to this hobby.
I'm looking forward to trying this hobby out since it should be a good fit for me.
Glad to meet you ladies and gentlemen.

Welcome on the forums. I hope you'll enjoy your time here. Hmm... don't I sound like a prison guard there?

I'm almost 60 years old so I don't know if I can tell the difference anymore .

Hi Bill,
Welcome on the forums. I hope you'll enjoy your time here. Hmm... don't I sound like a prison guard there?
LOL. When I was working I sometimes put data networks in prisons (shiver).

The first one is easy....what should the width, hight, and length be...(example, 1 tall 30 long and 20 wide)
The second one is hard to understand.......ok ...here it is...
On the base...should I have connectors pointing up or not..
I'll post a pic later if needed...
Also, if anyone has a good tabletop please show me....thanks
Sorry, my tabletop coaster will have to come some other time

OK , I have a question...
I bought two Screamin Serpent coasters online ,
they were in red boxes.
Now i found another one , but it's in a different box ,
it's black ..
Is there a difference in parts or part collors ??
Thanks Stippy70

You will still be able to connect the track together.
The only difference is the color of some pieces.
Welcome to SSC, by the way.

It's what Jogumpie said , european and usa.
and there is no difference in color or parts.
Meanwile I went a little crazy and bought 4 more SSC"s on line
So in total it's 6 SSC"s.
and i haven't even build one coaster yet.
I think I'll be having a lot of questions along the way,
so i'm happy i joint SSCoasters.
I'm from Holland bytheway.

This is all the advice I can give you without seeing what you have actually achieved so far. Once you have something to show us, please do!
