I'm guessing you are going for a figure-8 kind of layout. That seems to be the popular choice for fitting into the required space.

Glad you all liked the first turn! I liked it too but....

Unfortunately, I have changed it quite a bit since those pics. I realized I didn't have room to make much of a drop with that turn so had to change it to more of a turning drop. It still needs a lot of work and does not look good, so I'll wait til I can work on it more to post pics. I think building small might be harder than building big!

DP! but I got a real update this time.

I got that drop done a little while ago. Here are some pics. What do you think. I had to start the drop immediately or I would not have had enough room to pull out and pull in to the next turn. The pull out is not done, just hanging there for a rough idea

-keep in mind, much of the structure is still not complete because I have a lot left to build. That is why the end of the top of the turn is warping out like that. some of that might be coming off anyway.

Looks sweet. This is reminding me of an Intamin Pre-fab woodie like Balder.

Really nice looking! The only thing is that I would add some more supports on that drop and throughout the ride since there are not that many X-ties on the track (because of the 200 X-tie limit) and so far you don't have too many supports. It will save speed on this ride a lot and help out with shaping. Otherwise, looking good.

It struck me how it looked with that little crossties, but it reminds me a lot of the coasters of years past, and it adds a lot of appeal to the ride in my opinion. I like it a lot, the shaping is lovely!

Didn't build much more track but did spend time building more structure. Now that I have a couple of layers all the way around the oval and everything is tied together with diagonals this has started to get very rigid.

No just a speed reduction gear. I actually played with tensioner but was having problems again so decided to just keep it simple. The chain is not going to be very fast on this one (old school)
