My brother and I were bored one winter weekend so we decided to enter the contest. We decided to construct a recreation of Demon Drop, the first generation Intamin freefall ride which used to reside at the front of the park and has since been relocated to Dorney Park using the original K'nex roller coaster set. The ride is fully functional and contains numerous details such as the turnstiles for the queue. Here's the video link.
Let me know what you think!

It's really good for a recreation, and I think it's a first for DD. Since I've riden it about 3 times, from what I've seen of it while having fun free-falling it seems to be pretty accurate. Good job!

The only thing I don't like is how the supports look weak. Try tubes, or really thin boxes, like on Flashback. I think it would look much better if you did.
Funny thing; I was thinking about something very similar to this once. I was planning on recreating it, too, but I never did.
EDIT: I didn't realize how to it was until I watched the video! You guys deserve an inventors tag!

So we have some competition....
You can definitely say that! The only thing is that it's not listed as a rollercoaster

The supports are fine. We aren't dealing with a 5 weighted car train here.

The structure is a little bit weak under the radius of the drop but I was beginning to run out of pieces!

FYI, in case anyone else is as clueless as I was. You have to first like Cedar Point before you can like or comment on any of the photos.
